A family is now trying to make sense of a tragic shooting that claimed the life of 16-year-old aspiring rapper Keno Glass.

Keno was walking by himself on the 7600 block of North Ashland about 2:40 a.m. when a gray minivan pulled up and opened fire, NBC Chicago reports.

Keno was an aspiring rapper who performed under the moniker Kay Pee Lashore. Keno, a student Senn High School, was enjoying his Spring Break before his untimely death.

Police saw a vehicle flee the scene and were involved in a brief chase with motorists before it crashed nearby, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Police then reportedly apprehended at least one potential suspect on foot. Authorities were questioning two suspects, but no charges have been filed.

WGNTV is reporting Glass is the cousin of slain South Side Chicago artist Lil JoJo. Lil JoJo, too, was gunned down during a drive-by shooting.

Glass’ brother, Antwan Hubbard, 19, said his brother sought a career in the music business to “get his family out of the hood.”

“He wanted to make a change for everybody,” he said. “That’s why he was rapping. To make a change.” - See more at: http://kollegekidd.com/news/lil-jojo-keno-glass-kay-pee-lashore-murdered-drive-by-shooting#sthash.SyAmwxhK.dpuf
