laptop decision

48 posts in this topic

im clueless when it comes to this sort of stuff tbh

im after a new laptop, i just want 1 that'll be fucking durable to take to oz and use as a main werk pc

sick of replacing these shits

so i was thinkin about a mac as they never seem to c*ck up

now ive got a choice of 2 different laptops from this fella who i kno that deals with em, here they are;

2010 White Macbook, 2.4ghz core2duo, 250gb hdd 10 hour battery

he's justupgraded it to 4gb and put the latest lion op system on whatever that means, along with all the relevant work software i need

for £290

the other 1: dell vostro 3350, high spec core i3, 320gb, 14 inch, aluminium - £230

any tips or advice or just a straight DONT DO IT would be helpful

Laptops break. Its just what they do.

How often do you use your laptop on the go? Consider a tablet bro, I got one and I hardly ever use my laptop now.

Or bite the bullet and get a Macbook if you have the money for it. If not man seckle himself and get a desktop yeah

Check Gumtree.

Sometimes you get independent computer shops advertise their stuff on there

I picked up a i5 ivy bridge Samsung for £250

try cleanmymac dave. helped mine

steff, the only things that will fail are battery or hard drive, hard drive isn't as likely... batteries can be had for cheap anyway.

they are reliable so you won't have many problems.

On paper the dell outperforms the macbook even with the i3 processor.

I didn't realise people still buy macbooks
