what is death?

Hollywood tries to sell us the idea of ghosts and goulies, staying around to haunt people for no reason. While this may sell seats at the cinema i personally like to think that there is a bit more to death than sticking around watching. While watching white noise 2 last night, i thought to myself if these figures are the souls of those who have died, don't they have anything better to do than stick around haunting the same guy, i mean ffs you have just discovered a new plane of existance. So i started thinking what is death...To some death is a scary aspect, the news and media paint the scary/sad face on it, and most people soak this up. Death is a step into the unknown, and even though we try to dress it up like we know heaven exists or that they will just stay there that is the end of that, there is noway anyone knows what happens after death. i think this is where the fear plays in. To fear death is to fear destiny. To some death is release, but i hope this isn't the case for any of you reading this. Sometimes it may seem like death is a release, but the only true release is actually resolving the issue. if you try to off yourself without resolving anything your last thoughts wil lbe plagued with regret, and as for your life well what a waste. To some death is exciting, the step into the unknown making it known. I look forward to the last few minutes of brain activity, and then, if anything does happen then let it happen. To some death is life and life is death, we are already dead, we are just here to guide ourselves to our graves with our own choices. this type of thinking looks transends time and place, it goes into an area only tangible in the human mind, this kind of thinking is very human. Everything is everything plays in my head when i think of it this way. me i am personally a little scared of death, but i don't pay attention to fear of it as i believe that everything is pre determined, and destined, so if you are going to die theres nothing you can do about it, so why be fearful. i am also a litle excited to see whats on the otherside. what are your views and theories on death? We are swimming in the sea of death, and it will drown us all. Yet we will live.

The fear of death is pure curiosity, the human mind is naturally curious. For example if i said to somebody, "do not enter this door, because you will die" Then each time you walk pass the door you will put your hand on the handle and try open it.However the initial fear stops you from acting on your curiosities.

I'm very curious to know what happens when you die. I think about this sometimes. What will there be when you die. Is that it or is there some heaven type place, and if there is, is it overcrowded, coz everyone from all over the world will be there. Or does each person have their own heaven? And how long do you stay there for? I don't think i'd want to be there aimlessly forever and ever, or is death another realm of time and you go on to somewhere else after that??So many options...

"The way of the samurai is found in death. Every day when one's mind and body are at peace, one should meditate on being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears, and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand foot cliffs, dying of disease, committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day without fail, one should consider himself....as dead."

Not even sure there was any good point in here to feed a proper response, but hey, firstly why do we look at Death as an object, surely Death is an entity. To say there is nothing beyond Death is silly is it not? We say they is nothing after death why? the mind cant fathom it? we have not been there? But on the flip side we believe the universe is infinite, none of us hav seen it, i suppose that begs the question could you see it (If you find that funny Pm me) anyhowDeath is progression, The word it self i guess has simply taken on a negative meaning, what if Death was called Life, and Life called death what would we feel about Death then?Death is an entity, one which hold the universe at some form of cosmic balance a bit like a government quote on Tobbacco.

i just wanted to see what people thought of deathyou say it is an entityi disagree i think death and life are not on the same level, birth and death are on the same level but life is the whole thing, like your death and where you go is how the story ends, but its not a separate bookbut the book of death, and death reaches out to you and takes you, thats sort of like the grim reaper, that could be death as an entity

O.man maybe that is the only thing to do in that existance, maybe, possibly there is nothin to do in later lifedeath, its word the population has stamped on a new chapter, everybody's being is a bokk if you like, death is simply a chapter, howver, all thing must ome to an end. Is this the end of our book? or is there life.beyond death. It the answer nobody knows, I've heard about how people have been clinicly dead for inutes, only to come back and say they saw gates....lights...a tuneel etc maybe thats the tunnel and the light is the othe chapter, wateva it is all i know is that we shudnt realy be thinkin about death, lets face it, its a depressing subject. Life, existance is about the now, the present....your neva gna live this day again, the moment before i die, im gna look back on my life and i wanna be able to think that yeh ive lived life to the fullest, its my time to go. i dnt wanna look back and fink oh fuk i shud of done that this way or that that way. get me?needed to get that out lolnice topic O.manBless
