why does Islam frown upon music?I think that many religions have touches of truth in them, and i believe in a god although I'm not religious. However music is like life to me and I've been told that the Muslim religion frowns upon it. Why?

When is music frowned upon really?There is arabic music that gets released you know, along with Bollywood (I know it's Indian but India houses the largest amount of muslims anywhere) so you know there are muslims profiting from music and filmTry again though

Taxi driver the other day was talking to me about this....just come out of seeing spor (hardest dnb on earth) and then he said do i like this music.....i sed its ok...he started goin on about how its actually poetry and that theres loads of these islamic cds that are poetry and not music...then tellin me islam is against music because it creates a artificial feeling being possitive or negative, and that feeling should only be pure and natural...he even said he hopes i become a muslim one day...nice bloke...
