Another thing is sometimes they'll get someone studying a masters to lecture you, and that annoys me especially when they do a shoddy job.Uni is an experience I'm happy I took, but I wish they actually valued their student's education a lot more than the pay cheque from inernational students.
Unfortunately this is it. This country has always put foreigners first and then when people complain about it we are made out to be racists and xenophobic.

No, the thing is you are more than likely racist. My problem is not with international students, but rather the uni's prioritising. They love interenational students because they bring money in shitloads, and some of them would get better grades than a lot of people. This comes at the cost of other students suffereing because the uni can't get hold of lecturers that have got even the smallest amount of sense and desire to help uni students reach their full potential. Instead, they have drunkards and people who are just waiting for the end of the day so they can count the days left till their paycheque.Well, at least in my uni that's the case.

No, you automatically assume me to be racist because I am stating a fact. I can understand why international students may feel offended by mentioning them but it is more to do with the system in place rather than directly accusing them of something and this is where people like yourself (no offense) chuck around the term 'racism' so loosely and this is also why nothing ever gets done about it because as soon as the subject is bought up, it is quickly dismissed to avoid conflict.

You can't apply to Oxford 2 weeks late and expect an offer. They're so competitive anyway they look for the smallest reasons to rule people out.
My part of the UCAS forms were submitted over a week before the deadline and I'm sure it will show that.I was not late, so it would be unfair if I never got the opportunity because my Tutor was late on her side. She should get sacked if I don't hear back.
that part wasn't submitted, it was sent to your referee (e.g. tutor), it won't show when you sent that on your form - and the exam is tomorrow so if your college doesn't have the papers you're pissed

Uni is getting long.I'm actually hating third year. The lack of real structure and organization is ridiculous. Makes me not want to hand in work or go to lectures.Damn these unis only wanting money from us. Perhaps if they cared about maintaining their reputation they would improve the quality of teaching.
That's what is making me double think.I am quite independent with my learning anyway
get me thats why im thinking uni is gonna be long

Come off your hype, just because you're not going to Oxford doesn't mean anything, the chances of getting into Oxford are low regardless, your personal statement has been sent relatively early to other universities and it's likely you will get offers. Stop looking for excuses for failure.

thats university for you, and usually the better the uni the worse this situation is. most the time i think the reason why they come with this "i can be bothered" attitude towards lecturing, organising and structure is because they are more concerned with their own work at the uni. lecturing is just a side activity.univeristies should DEFINATELY care more about the education their providing if they want to maximise their results and how good they are.but i suppose with the current state of higher level education, the way its saturated these days this is another way to filter out those who are reallllly good from those who cant push that extra mile.f*ck it man, just grit ur teeth and get thru, thats my motto. just do ur best and hope for the best.not long left for you now.

Chill with the black talk. You just have a lazy tutor. Call Oxford and explain it to them. And wile out on your teacher.

I'm two months into my 5 months of third year teaching and there's f*ck all anybody's doing. Made an official complaint today and the cunts piss me off.f*ck*ng three grand.f*ck*ng money grabbing cunts.

University's reputations are mainly-hinged on postgraduate affairs. Quality of research facilities, the calibre of their actual research, the academic publications and journal articles they produce, how well-regarded these publications are & how often they're referenced in academia, the reps of their high-profile faculty, etc. Undergrad teaching can be way down the list of priorities.

LOGs what is manchester like?
Well I'm not there anymore. But the uni is good, teaching standards are cool and there is a lot of student support.Manchester as a city is exactly what you make it, it can be good, but it can also be poor.TBH I was quite a social retard in uni until about 1/2 way through second year, I literally went to uni, went to work, went to the library then came home. The student vibe is imposing if you let it be.There are 5 unis in the Greater Manchester area, several societies, clubs etc and its quite a cheap city to live in.
