Someone in my classs got parred from them still.I told him to ring them up for an explanation. He rang them and they said it was cause the credits for mathmatics were not enough.Now he is looking to go Derby.South Universities>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>North Universities.

This is why Im getting parredMaths grades arent sufficient. It's f*ck*ng bullshit when I can clearly do the course that I'm on...

Thanks. I applied to do Internet ComputingNah i got DDD (BTEC National) 360 UCAS points.I can't be bothered to phone and ask why, i'm assuming it's cos i only got a C in Maths GCSE.Meh, that's the furthest one ticked off.

I'm not trying to call you out on it.I'm actually in shock that a DDD at BTEC is considered officially equivalent to 3 A's at A Level, and that UCAS would make that statement.I can guarantee you, that despite this, Universities will not see it that way.

Yeah they probably won't, but my friend got into Uni of Nottingham with DDD at BTEC so I'm guessing if you go for credible unis but not the toppa tops they will still let you in.Swear Nottingham are more highly regarded than Manchester though...ahh well *shrugs shoulders and walks off*

Depends for what.For classical subjects I'd agree.

Top 10 universities. Every other university pretty much says its the equivalent. It shouldnt be though because us guys doing BTEC's know how easy we got it only having to do coursework that we can copy

Nah that's what I mean.Uni's will say it's equivalent, but when it comes down to admissions tutors looking through your UCAS forms, it won't be.Despite attempts to enforce otherwise, there is a definite, and probably unfortunate, heirarchy.

Goldsmiths parred me off on Saturday, was kind of pissed because I had my heart set on them.Seems like Portsmouth's the best choice then, they want BBB for English Language & Creative Writing with Media Cultures.

its more exams than assignments,or if there is an assignment then some times its only worth lyk 30% of ur final grade for that module..and how hard an assignment is depends on the module leader cus they set the exam paper...well they do at my unii didnt kno anythin about finance really b4 i started uni so i'm sure u'll be fine

The expensiveness of london is pissing me the f*ck off. Making me fully consider doing my law conversion in manchester or leeds. How can it be the same institute but 1,500 cheaper, adding to the fact that it will also cost me twice as much to rent in london then in either Leeds or Manchester arghhh!

I got 88/90 in my ICT Core 2 (AQA) retake I'm well happy. That's pushed me to having an A overall in ICT, so technically I'm sitting on AAABare guys did crap in resits though, it feels like August results day all over again, mood being brought down by my bad-resulted peers, I know I'm being selfish with that thought but still.Anyways, this result has brought new life to my desire to succeed. I think I'ma block VIP2 for a while and see how far that gets me with revision and coursework.BLESS
