lol i dont think bollywood do decent thrillers do they? You should see some of the fighting scenes in their best movies. It's hilarious. I personally don't have any recommendations for what you're looking for sorry. I watched 3 idiots couple weeks back, which was amusing but also stupid. (But I have an indian step fam so I was more adjusted to this kind of acting/drama/talk etc).Come to think of it I loved some bits out of that film.

Serious dramatic tales with very transforming plot twist are generally Hollywood/Western ways of developing a story. Bollywood films tend to be light-hearted happy-ending romance/melodrama musicalsThere are more serious Indian films which are non typical bollywood all-singing all-dancing epics. But maybe not in the way you're hoping, more art films and social commentary than tense dramas with a galloping shock twist afaikhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_Cinema

Very well shot, thought the opening credits were done well with the split screens, very colourful through out. Soon as he falls and the rock is trapping his arm you hear NOTHING it's dead silence, really captures the emotions. The headphones spinning with music playing was a nice touch.Even with him just drinking the water from the bottle and the camera focusing on the bubbles or just the tiny drops left was really nice. The way he cut his arm off with the music in the background was pure sadistic, the facial expressions did make me chuckle when a bone was snapped.A remarkable story

James Franco was excellent.c/s James Franco, he played the role brilliantly

The scene when he cut through the nerve/or artery was disturbing. You could almost imagine what that must have felt like, with the music helping compounding the pain

It was a great cinematic production in a way, great camera and music work which were essential to keep the film interesting. The small things in this film where done well. Could have easily been a rebore Buried if done wrongly.

The Men Who Stare At Goats was on BBC1 about 3 hours ago, it was very entertaining, I didn't see the end of it due to watching MOTD (I feel dirty saying that) so will endevour to catch up with it sometime.
