I'd rather have an education than NOT have one.

same here. coz at the end of the day im not going to apply to be an architect or an investment banker & say 'i dont have any qualifications or a degree but i have experience in life' and expect to get the job. education is important because it gets you those high earning jobs much quicker & its easier. without it u just might get there anyways but it will take much longer and u will need luck. and luck is not always available & definately not for all of us.. & starting salary might be £30pa with education and £15pa without. huuuuge difference. & the person with education will be promoted & earns much more than the person without thats why it makes a difference.. thats my opinion

True. But let's be honest, the majority of us don't know enough people to have our lives how we want them without education.Unless you know the boss, you don't know no-one.

when you grow up with your parents yelling about how its important then obviously you will think it or have to think it.but i do believe this generation want things too easy.

academi education IS important. apart from the academics you learn, you get to interact and build communication skills which you need growing up. qualifications are need but not guaranteed to get you ahead, but those with qualifications do better than those who dont. yeh yeh someone will tell me mr patel cant read or write and owns businesses, but lots more people own businesses who do have rlevant qualifications

IMO The core subjects, English, Maths and Science, are important. Besides that I think it depends on your ambition and what path you're gonna take towards it.

Don't know how you can say it isn't. Education is the surest way to a secure future.

Secondary school education was a bit useless cos when I hit year 11 I couldnt remember anything from the previous years.What I've learned in college though is actually beneficial to me.

I got a job and I haven't even got my final results from uni yet. They based it all on my placement year and experiences I had gained. Now this may only apply to the IT industry, but thats the experience me and alot of my friends have had.

depends on ur brainif u gt a sponge n absorb alot of info n can use that info given and apply it to ur life and what u need to do then its all goodif ur a block head that cnt learn sh*t then u may aswell jus quit

True. I know people who got $BIG$ jobs coz they knew people in recuitment process of the Banks they now work in, one did'nt finish his degree, failed the second year and another got a low 2:2, did'nt have to do any tests, had a crap interview. Compare that with what most people have to do for the same jobs and you know it's liberties. Got some other stories but it is long...Of course education is important in can be life changing to some...

if your content with earning circa 20-30k then its not neededif you wan 60k plus aswell as a good base to fall on then go and bang out dem grades
