More than one in four commuters has bacteria from faeces on their hands, an investigation suggests.

The further north they went, the more often they found commuters with faecal bacteria on their hands - men in Newcastle were the worst offenders.

This obsessive-compulsive level craze about germs is funny. Some things that you squirmish folks should consider avoiding:- All money- Your own mouths- All doors and door handles- Computer keyboards, mouses- Fridges- Mobiles- Table tops- Cigarette lighters- TapsAll are typically at LEAST as dirty as toilet bowls in terms of microbes. And closing your toilet lid, hiding your toothbrush away, etc, doesn't help. The bacteria are in the spray of moisture from the flush, which becomes diffused evenly in the air. Unless your cabinet has an airlock, you're still shoving sh*t particles into your mouth when you brush. In fact, you're breathing moisture containing faecal particles right now. Newsflash: your body has mechanisms to deal with such things. You can go about your business in a bubble, or mincing around and avoiding every little thing that anybody's ever touched. Or just trust your immune system, and live your life.
