Currently reading Nobody's Girl by Kitty Neale. Very good read tbh. It's about a girl called Pearl Button who was left on the steps of a care home when she was a baby. Left when she was 16, got a job and a shabby flat finally thought she found peace and love when she met Derek. All she has ever wanted in life was to feel loved and wanted and thats what she got from him and the locals. Obv, this aint no fairytale ending. She sexes her bosses son and eventually everyone finds out and she's back to square one. All alone, no one to care for her.Dunno how it ends tho, aint got that far. This is all set in the 50's too. When i'm finished with this, i;m gonna read Alan Carr's book, cannot wait.
lol wat a twat

I don't think i could sit & read a book online.. Recently read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini (the author of The Kite Runner) & it was brilliant. Was going to buy the kite runner after but my best friends made me watch the movie on new yrs eve so it's not the same anymore.I finally bought Obama Dreams Of My Father, been meaning to read it & didn't want to borrow it from someone. Also got Roots, the way i was happy when i saw this book i can't wait!!! & Martin Luther King. Will start them after exams. Or before my last one... coz i really can't wait.@ natalie that book sounds rather interesting might look for it.Sub zero who's the road by?? & what genre is it??

ATM, im reading (or trying to read, due to the fact i have other reading to be doing) The Man Who Cried I Am, very good book.Allow reading whole books online.
Who's that by??? curious as to what it's about
Its by John A Williams
In this powerful, largely autobiographical novel that was originally published in 1967, award-winning author and journalist Williams crafts the story of the irrepressible "Negro" writer Max Redd*ck as he fights to make a difference in the world of the press and of letters. "He wanted to do with the novel what Charlie Parker was doing to music – tearing it up and remaking it." Battling racial attitudes and barriers every step of the way, his story is told within a narrative arc that spans American social history from World War II into the cauldron of the civil rights era.http://www.austinchronicle.com/gyrobase/Is...id=oid%3A229258
I got three other books lined up to read (Street Boys, Dreams of my Father (Barack Obama) & Angry Black White Boy). These shall have to wait until my dissertation is finished though.

Reading "Hallam Foe" right now.About half way in, it's really good so far.Finished "If You Liked School, You'll Love Work" last week. Kinda hit & miss, but "The Kingdom Of Fife" was excellent.
