Need to keep this topic update to date tbh.GSP vs Nick Diaz @ UFC 137. Dana White tweeted earlier today. Also Rampage set to face Jon Jones for the LHW belt. What do the MMA fans on here think of that?

Gsp vs Diaz sounds good on paper, but i reckon Gsp will do what he does best
Agreed. I think the reason people want this is due to what Diaz brings to the table. Most of the challengers to the welterweight title have excelled in one aspect of MMA, but lacked in others, where GSP has taken advantage of.Koscheck, Fitch - Great wrestling, poor strikingAlves, Hardy - Good striking, poor takedown defenceShields - BJJ, no striking at allWith Diaz, he can stand and bang, more dangerous than GSP on the feet. If GSP does take him down, Diaz is comfortable working off his back. But like you say, its most probably going to be another 5 rounder with St.Pierre slowly grinding him down.

Its a shame we dont see the old GSP, now he's so scared to lose he doesnt want to commit./Michael Bisping and Jason Miller announced to be the coaches in the next TUF series. Should be entertaining with Miller continually provoking Bisping, wonder how he will react this time round. Would have made much better viewing if Chael Sonnen was the coach instead of Miller, but with all the drama around him it wasnt possible. Also TUF 13 finale on the weekend, Pettis vs Guida headlining. Kompressor, do you think Pettis should face the winner of Edgar/Maynard should he win on Saturday?

yeah, definitly, at the very least he'll bring some more excitment to the division, and tbh i cant see anyone else challenging for that belt in that division, the Guida fight could be a banana skin for him, as he's a tough guy, but i expect him to beat Guida on points (UD) and i expect it to be a very exciting fight, as thats what Clay Guida brings to the table, after Petis gets his shot, i expect Melendez to move over to the big show, and a super fight to be made,

Melendez didnt even occur to me! He looked phenomenal vs Kawajiri, really impressive boxing display. A superfight with Edgar would make a great match. Just finished watching TUF final episode, Tony Ferguson, who actually reminds me of a younger version of Melendez, is up against Ramsey Nijem. Ferguson has it in the bag imo, demolished all his opponents.

Excellent win for Guida did something I never thought he'd do, put tactical nouse forward in priority ahead of entreating the crowd, and he still managed to do both. Greg Jacksons magic works again. Reckon Melendez might move over now, as I don't think Guida warrants a tittle fight just yet.

Although everyone knew Guida's game plan, I'm still surprised he managed to win it. Pettis takedown defence, lack of it I should say, was put on show. Even though he looked dangerous from the bottom with those submission attempts, Guida's raw energy just overcame them. I really thought Pettis might have snatched it at the end of the 3rd with a possible rear naked, but again Guida bursts through. Very unfortunate for Pettis, he was number one contender and now will probably have to fight (and win) a couple more before he regains that position.Ferguson, what a beast, KO Nijem clean off his feet. Feel bad for Ramsey, he was defo one of my favs of the season, but I expect to see him back. LOL @ Chris Cope, he is nuts./Dos Santos vs Carwin next week! Really hyped for this, hoping for a crazy slugfest.

Someones getting knocked the f*ck out tonight, Carwin's power actually scares me and i dont even have to fight him, Dos Santos has got speed on his side though, it'll be interesting to see if Carwins cardio has improved, but im not sure it'll go that far.Carwin is lighter than he was and they say they've been working on stamina so........Florian fight should be interesting. And that Abu Dhabi champ who Carwin was originally meant to be fight could be one to watch. Demian maia fight should be a good one aswell,

Yeah Jon Olav, he trains alot with The Reem. His last fight was in 2006, and hes only had 3 fights since 2003. Not too sure how he will perform, but I dont think its going past the first round.Munoz to beat Maia imo, although I wouldnt be surprised if Maia somehow snuck in a triangle from being dropped into guard.I really want Nunes to win, he such a likeable guy. However, if the winner is to get a title shot, I'd rather see Florian face Aldo. It would be a crazy frantic match.
