Nate Diaz vs Jim Miller - Great great match up. Diaz has historically had a problem with good wrestlers, his last two impressive wins have come over fighters who are primarily strikers, so this is a good test for him. Jim Miller, fantastic fighter, great all round mixed martial artist, he will be looking to take his fight to the ground. I don't give him much of a chance in the stand up department, Diaz will employ his usual strategy of walking forward and peppering punches, throwing the occasional hard right. Diaz by decision would be my bet.

Josh Koscheck vs Johnny Hendricks - I'm amped for this one. There is bad blood between these two, the pair haven't exchange a single word in the lead up to the fight. Koscheck is pissed for two reasons; Hendricks knocked out his long term best friend and training partner Jon Fitch (much to everyone's delight), I'm sure the revenge factor will be plaiyng up. Also the media have really riled him up during the press obligations for the fight, he's been cranky and agitated at reporters, calling them "f*ck*ng retards" and what not. Most of the media are counting him out as "too old", Koscheck is definitely not happy about that. Onto the actual fight, usually the case when two strong wrestlers face off, the fight is played out on the feet. Both guys have knockout power, but I would have to favour Hendricks. Koscheck is direly predictable with his punches, Hendricks will have that counter punch opportunity that Paulo Thiago had when he KO'd Josh few years back. Hendricks by KO is my say.

Rousimar Palhares vs Alan Belcher - Another interesting match up. Palhares is easily one of the most dangerous guys in the sport P4P, his past opponents will all tell you that. The most fierce leg locks, heel hooks, kinds that require a long length rehab if he decides to crank it hard. Belcher admitted during the pre-fight press conference that he was "scared & nervous" for this fight. Although that also might have to do with the fact that he hasn't been regular in his fights since May of 2 years ago, where he suffered a bad injury. The obvious prediction for this is Palhares by submission, but Belcher is so tough and resilient, I can see him winning a brutal decision victory.

Pat Barry vs Lavar Johnson - Lavar was impressive in his debut match vs Beltran, TKOing him, which not people can say they have. Stylistically, this is a good match. Both guys are strikers, Barry with the K1 experience, I think he will take it. First round KO.

Also ESPN aren't showing the card live, so it's either streams or UFC.com, it's getting repeated 2moro night tho,

I can't be arsed with all that faffing about tho, so I'll be watching Cotto Mayweather tonight.

ESPN showing it tomorrow around 10pm.

I'm not watching the prelims, waiting for the main card.

Wow Nate Diaz just dominated Miller. Never seen Miller look so lost in a fight before, even vs Benson he wasn't this out of it. Congrats to Diaz, looks like he and Pettis will fight for the number 1 contendership.

Also Hendricks takes a split decision win over Koscheck, I thought he won all three rounds.

Great card overall.

Hear that, but Cromier has never fought someone as good as Barnett (in MMA)

So it'll be I treating to see how he steps up,

He has the skill set to get the job done, KO power, Barnett's been Ko'ed before, and if course he's wrestling should be feared,

Everything's pointing towards Cromier but I just think Barnett might get the job done somehow, he's overly desperate to get back in the UFC for the last part of his career,

I still wanna see Kharitanov get moved over to the UFC as well.

Cormier beats Barnett handily, even rag-dolled him on a number of occasions. Daniel was faster, and much more stronger. Barnett was not ready, his face by the end of the 5th was a dog's dinner. I still think we'll see him make it to the UFC.

I'm thinking Gil/Cormier double.

Glad I stuck with my gut. I swear the UK MMA oddsmakers should do their research, they had Cormier underdog again. Not that I'm complaining ha.
