I agree with the 6+5 rule - maybe 6 is a bit extreme perhaps 6 in the match day squad would be better.One of the reasons I respect Yanighted so much is because they give the British and Irish kids a chance.I wonder what would have happened to Phil Neville, John O'Shea, Wes Brown Jonathan Greening, Nicky Butt, Darren Fletcher had they come through now at Arsenal and Liverpool?They may not be the most technically gifted players, but they have 7 Champions League winners medals, 22 Premier League medals and 11 FA Cup winners medals between them. And probably around the 200 mark in international caps.Makes you think what could have been with the Bentleys/Pennants/Warnocks/Upsons/Harpers etc.

Alot of the English players who have left Liverpool and Arsenal, have because they want to be guranteed first team football. When Wenger or Benitez hasnt granted them that they ask for a move instead of fighting for their place.
