I'm not a producer but i've been messing inconsistently with fruity since i was 15, so i'm not good.But reading what you guys are typing you obviously know what you're talking about so i got a few questions for guys like, dubby,gattsu,bmc and others;What software do you use?Do you have a studio?What genre of music do you produce?Do you use instruments to help make your beat?

Reason doesn't support any vsts. Refills and wavs only. Hoping the next version will but I don't think that's the direction theyre taking it in.

Reason isn't VST compatible which many people may see as a negative but loads of people still use it. I don't see why they haven't allowed it or it's new Record interface to be rewire hosts but that's their choice innit.

you can make better beats than that using FL Studio. there's nothing that Logic has that can really make your beats better than they may be in fruity using the same plugins

Quantize on logic is far superior to Fruity.mixdowns are much better. I personally don't think logic is the best for mixing down/master. pro-tools has it hands down. But in terms of sequencing/ arrangement & editing Logic is the best in the market.oh yeah its 2 different things when you use waves SSL on fruity & when you use it on P-tools/logic

Well whatever you call it, why are you trying to be "anal" as they say?Navigating in Cubase is a nightmare I had to do like 4 pieces of coursework using it and it just made me want to kill more and more.

The final output of a track at 0 level on fruity sounds thiny & distorted. from my previous experience.Other softwares like pro-tools & logic provides alot more head-room for the mix. Now some might argue that its down the the interface/soundcard. But I disagree.

Correct. Anything exported from FL is altered, its like your mix was just a waste of time. I love FL to bits though.

I would never mix in Fruity apart from basic levels, all about exporting the layers and the mixing in pro-tools. I only use fruity as a sequencer with various vsts and plugins which suits me fine, alot of bigish producers use it aswell.

i think getting a cracked version of cubase to work without crashing is nigh on impossible, and i don't think there's much difference between logic and cubase, it more comes down to what ur familiar with.
