A fully fledged international having made his debut for Laurent Blanc’s new-look Les Bleus against England last year, Sakho is known to have admirers across the continent with Arsenal, Liverpool and several sides in Italy thought to be keeping tabs on his progress. Having forced his way into the starting line-up at the age of 17, the Parisian born stopper became PSG's youngest ever captain just a few months after his debut. An integral part of the PSG set-up he has been widely praised for his tactical awareness, physicality and versatility. Speaking about his young chage, manager Antoine Kombouare revealed to French press: “We tried to extend Sakho's contact. I really want to keep him at the club, but on a financial level we could not make it and had to postpone talks. "We don't have the means to prolong the stay of a very important boy with a bright future." Sakho’s current contract ends in the summer of 2012 but with the player eligible to pen a pre-contract agreement with potential suitors six months before that, it is believed that the PSG hierarchy will try and cash in on their star man at the end of the current Ligue 1 season.
