my mums been tellin me a lot about guyanese foodapparently ur peppa pot is the same as one a their dishesit sounds bangin except, she tells me of pig tail and tripelets be honest caribbean food can only come from african dishes, many of them are similarours is jus refined

my nan doesn't make pepperpot with tripe/pig tails.. only beef and pork *normal cuts*.I havent eaten it in like 5 years coz i dont eat beef or pork anymore but it was serious.... don't think she cooks it too often anyway because the casrip sold here isn't too good.
we had casrip in some beef stew on sunday, is alrite still, obv i dnt kno bout the real thing

In Bklyn every other food shop is caribbean. There is a certain area that has quite a few african shops, well just 1 lil strip, but caribbean dominates. Then u hv Golden Crust which is ALL over NY come like a Mc.Donalds & thats WI. They win imo.

LOLrahh!First off i wouldn't really be bigging up refil its over rated IMO.I aint ever ate anything african (of my knowledge to rate or right it off) But each persons personal touch makes a big difference to any dish so to say you hate a whole type of food just because of the peoples foods you tasted is mad.LOL @ Bringing up Brooklyn having loads of carribean places. Crown heights /Utica avenue more or less from carribean islands. So only natural theres going to be more carribean restraunts.

I hv been in african areas & every other shop is not an african food spot - ur point is not valid.
