unless you're watching the latest episodes of Mad Men there's no point in trying to understand, its one of those shows that has really grown well over timeBreaking Bad is great but would never get 'best show' from me tbh, I dunno why specifically

I'm just baffed. I fully don't get it. I actually deleted Season 1 of Mad Men after watching that crap they call the first episode.
lol, believe I didn't start watching Madmen until I'd watched everything else I'd thought was worth watchingdon't give it that much of an effort 'cause you won't enjoy it, just drop an episode on every now and again when you have nothing better to watch.. which may be hard for the while seeing as TV season has just startedit wasn't until the 3rd season I think it is that I really thought that it was one of the top shows, I'm not sure whether you can skip to season 3 though.. think you need to watch the first 2 to understand the characters

Pagans.Mad Men has had better seasons, namely season 3. Breaking Bad is better than Mad Men, more intense and better paced*, (season probably due to a smaller set of players taking up the bulk of the storylines, meanwhile the writers of Mad Men have created a world, characters dropping in and out, I'm more invested in it.Archer is jokes and I'm waiting for the second season. Same with Parks and Recreations, best sitcom out.May start on Rubicon soon.*Season 4 is a step down imo which could be contributing to this viewpoint.

Mad Men is engrossing.Great shows don't NEED to start with a big bang.
I see why some people don't like Mad Men or Breaking Bad, they seemingly like shows that are direct in where things are going from the very start, personal preference I suppose.

gonna have to get on mad men.... will download tomorrow....shall i download dexter? how far in is it?
it starts off kinda slow (i started watchin when it first started but gave up after the first ep then picked it up again this summer)but boy when it gets into it... one of the best shows right now, its on ep 3 of season 5 right now, but its like 12 eps a seasonand whatever you do DONT find out what happens at the end of season 4 before you watch it
