It really depends on the pill but it will say on the packet.If its yasmin then shes pretty much protected staight away (if taken properly - started on the first day of her cycle).

Depends on the pill.My girl's one says you take everyday on the first day of the period and then when it finishes you are good to go as long as she is on point when it taken properly.

Depends what pill it is. But if you yake it from the first day of yoir period you are instantly safe. If you miss it for one day you need to double dutch and use a condom for 7 days. If you start the pill without being on your period (which you shouldn't really but its not the end of the world...) You have to wait 7 days to be safe.
