Ismooth
GYALIST TYPE OF MOVIES, DON JUAN DE MARCO IS REALLY GOOD, BIT OLD, CHECK IT OUT ON YOUTUBE, FULL VERSION ALL UPLOADED. DESCRIPTION : Don Juan DeMarco is a 1995 American romantic comedy-drama film starring Johnny Depp as John Arnold DeMarco, a man who believes himself to be Don Juan, the greatest lover in the world. Clad in a cape and domino mask, DeMarco undergoes psychiatric treatment with Marlon Brando's character, Dr. Jack Mickler, to cure him of his apparent delusion. But the psychiatric sessions have an unexpected effect on the psychiatric staff, some of whom find themselves inspired by DeMarco's delusion; the most profoundly affected is Dr. Mickler himself, who rekindles the romance in his complacent marriage. The movie is based on two different sources; the modern-day story is based on director/screenwriter Jeremy Leven's short story Don Juan DeMarco and the Centerfold (the movie's original title before the studio changed it shortly before release), while the flashbacks depicting DeMarco's back-story are based on the more familiar legend of Don Juan, especially as told by Lord Byron in his version of the legend. Benicio del Toney
Tony Scott died yesterday... "Top Gun" director Tony Scott fatally jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro on Sunday afternoon, according to Los Angeles police sources. His body was pulled out of the water by Los Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard officials. [For the record, 9:48 p.m. Aug. 19: An earlier version of this post incorrectly said a suicide note was found in Scott's car, which was parked on the bridge. In fact, the note found in his car listed contact information. Investigators later found a suicide note at his office.] Law enforcement sources said several witnesses saw Scott, the brother of director Ridley Scott, climb over a fence on the bridge and jump off. The coroner's office identified him Sunday evening. Scott was a respected action-movie director who also made "Enemy of the State," "Beverly Hills Cop II" and "Crimson Tide." so so sad RIP Yea Crazy. Lens
yep, Odeon has definitely lost it. Cabin in the Woods - nothing special, don't go out of Your way if You haven't already seen it. the Chinese man in "Ted" f*ckin cracked me up. don't know how to spoiler tag, but his scene was by far the best thing about that movie for me "The Switch" - best performances from Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston, and a good fatherhood story Only upcoming release I'm looking forward to is Judge Dredd until "Taken 2" a whole month later. Anyone seen "Safe" with Jason Statham? Hearing too many mixed reviews.
Sinister
Dictator is soooooooo sh*t, locked it off after 30 mins no lols whatsoever. Battleship was meh, good if all you want is an action film with mindless violence. Avengers was mad, fully hyped and didn't let me down. The Hunger Games was better than I thought but at the end all I wanted to was watch Battle Royale which I would defo recommend to anyone not seen it. Sub_Zero
If you want to try something different with brutal action and hardly any dialogue try this. I think this will definitely split opinions. The best way to watch this film is ignoring everything I wrote below and not even watching the trailer and going into the film blind. Here's a streaming link: http://www.putlocker...FC93F9DDCD48766 Directed by: Nicolas Winding Refn Starring: Mads Mikkelsen (Bad Man) Country: Denmark, but filmed in English. Year: 2009 Genre: Action/Adventure/Drama Plot: A mute, one-eyed viking slave is forced to fight for whichever chieftain currently owns him. He eventually escapes, and butchers his captors. With nowhere to go, he falls in with some Crusaders who are on their way to the Holy Land. Together, they set sail for Jerusalem. This does not go well. They wind up in a strange new and seemingly empty land, and poo poo begins to get even worse. Which is impressive because the whole thing started out pretty bleak to begin with. Why You'll Love It: This is a viking movie. This is not a Hollywood movie. It isn't some schlocky crap like Pathfinder, this isn't like Beowulf, or The 13th Warrior. There's no hint of nobility in this movie. It leaves civilization far behind. This is a motherf*cking pagan movie. It's dirty, it's bleak, and it's violent. There aren't huge battles with hundreds of extras, there's probably never more than 5 guys on screen at any given time. Yet Mads can inject more hate and brutality into crushing a single guy's skull in with a rock than Arnold could as he chopped through entire armies in his Conan movies. There's not much exposition at all, at least in the traditional sense. This movie is driven by the cinematography and the setting. It is very beautiful, but also empty and haunting. The pacing can seem pretty slow, but it's a descent into hell and it isn't going to let them get there quickly. There is going to be a lot of suffering. There really isn't much dialogue at all, and most of it comes from the Christians. Yet they aren't trying to help the viewer understand the story; they're trying to convince themselves that they have some control, or at least some understanding of their world. Which they don't. While a very minimalist movie, there is still a lot of depth as it explores themes of war and religion. I was particularly impressed with how religious this movie could be while still being firmly rooted in reality. Nothing really supernatural at all happens, but hell crashes down on them all the same.
