As a Utd fan you of all people should know how it works, Frazier played a main part in Hull's promotion campaign, Shawcross has done wonders for Stoke.. i could go on, doesnt mean they are good enough for Utd

Of course it doesn't mean that, but I think Campbell could have done well if he was given the same opportunities Welbeck has been given.

I think he is better than Welbeck technically.

Atleast 1 of them has been given a chance so there really is nothing to complain about.

There's a vid on the net somewhere of when Welbeck came on against Arsenal last season and he had that turn+shot where he took the ball down from about 6ft off the ground. Chesney made a good save. Show me where Campbell has done anything of the sort please.

There's ONE reason why Campbell wasn't given many chances with the first team, his name is Welbeck.

Couple of occassions I was disapointed wenger didn't give minutes to certain players but thats his decision who really deserved a shot? sanchez watt? fat JET? daniel boateng? cmon son

Jay Simpson scored 2 against Wigan, played well uptop with Vela against Wigan first team.

Next Carling Cup match against Burnley he gets benched, plays Bendtner instead.

There is no logic behind those type of decisions.

You don't develop players mentally or physically by making stupid decisions like that.

Simpson wasn't good enough, yes he got his chance on merit, cos he was the best available at that time, but when others came back he was pushed back again on merit.

Same way Bendtner moaned that van Persie being prefered to him in the Carling Cup Final over him afte he'd started the games that got them there, was a par to him. but every Arsenal and most football fans would have said this was the logic thing to do, its same way anelka hates the fact Wenger played the youth team against Chelsea in the final them years back, as for him he saw it as club before personnel.

Lansbury is 20, 3 GOOD full seasons of football in him, he don't need another loan spell.

He needs to be rolling with the 1st team like Rafael and Fabio do.

Nah it was a good take, but that was instinctive, man like us in the playground used to do them kinda things daily.

Fergie has loved Welbeck from day dot so Campbell was always gonna have to leave.

Fam this is Arsenal, the youngsters get blooded early, so much so they all think they are ready to play once their 18th birthday springs round. If Lansbury wants to play and thinks he's ready to play, and you (the manager) dont think he is, then you loan him somewhere where he will play and keep doing it, until your ready to play him, or sell him, or tell him he gotta sit and maybe roll...

LOL Toney - What have you shown me there? The only decent goals were the first one and the curler from outside the box, but these dont show how Campbell is technically better than Welbeck so Im confused. Whether that take was instinctive or not doesn't take away the fact that it requires a level of technique to do it. A level of technique infact which your video of Campbell fails to display?

Weve seen Welbeck score technically good goals at the TOP level since he was 17. Stoke and Derby are quick to mind. Heck, did you see what he did to the left back when we played that friendly in Saudi Arabia years ago? Or the take against Barca in pre-season? I think the fact that he looks clumsy sometimes (due to him not being fully accustomed to his body yet), but then can pull off the sublime is a testament to how good he is and will be in the future. Can you argue against this?

The joke is I wanted Campbell to have more chances at United, check the posts back and see, but from when it was clear that it was either him or Welbs in Fergie's mind it was a no-brainer.
