When big teams play each other its hard for one player to stand out as the teams just cancel each other out. Ronaldo has done well against Arsenal and liverpool maybe not so much chelsea though.He merked roma this year aswell and he merks in big games for portugal.Man Utd have got arguably the two best young players in the world, so should get better as they get older and be able to perform big in big games.

Like I had to point out to my friends today, the players that usually get MOTM in these big team matches are the centre mids. The other attacking players hardly ever do well, especially not wingers.

Nah, Messi maybe, he is a damn class player could be more consistent and i dont know how he playsfor argentina.Cesc NO. He aight in the prem but he to small for my likeing and cant win a game on his own, justkeeps the midfield ticking over. Dont know what hes done for spain, but he aint merked in big international tournaments like rooney and ronaldo.

Fabregas is one of the best CM's in the Prem at 20He might not win games on his own but after Henry, he's the most relied on player in teamHe's done alright for Spain, I can admit he hasn't affected Spain the same way Rooney & Ronaldo have affected England & SpainHowever, bear in mind Fabregas is gunning for a spot in a midfield that boasts SEVERAL top quality centre midfieldsRonaldo had somewhat of a battle getting onto the Portugese flanks, bar Quaresma, Figo & Simao, there wasn't alot of competitonRooney damn near walked in because England have no international quality strikersSpain have Alonso, Xavi, Albeda, Iniesta & Baraja (sp.) and to be fair, I think he's displaced them. he also played VERY well in the world cup, his 1st international tournament
