Niggaz stay hating on Artists trying to get money by jumping on a genre that generates money. In the beginning of course an Artist will do music for the love of it but LOVE don't pay bills or fund the desired lifestyle.

Tinchy, Dizzee, Wiley, Lethal....all them niggaz where ill at one point but what would you choose...spit hard sh*t and stay in the hood or make national and possibly worldwide music and generate a juicy income.

The white folks, and these dance/funky house people will like it.....it wont make number 1 though...not even 5

you can still make decent money tho off the music you actually have a passion, it just depends what music it is (excluding the obvious choice of pop)...

it works for well established and large genres tho e.g: some types of rock, house and other EDM, etc. in those cases theres probably people still making music mainly for their passion and still making a decent amount.

the problem is grime is quite a specialised genre and has a particular foundation so it doesnt have that kind of scale and establishment. that and other factors limit the money that ppl can make from doing any music for passion....

but on top of it, the people involved all wanna be like rich superstars. so you have artists who want to be paid like a celeb but the music for which they have a genuine love for and support only providing them with minimum wage lol. it just boils down to what they like more, money or music.
