my two rules when it comes to lending

 

i never lend more than i can afford unless it's an emergency

 

i'll ask them when they wanne pay me back

 

I don't care if its a year later but just stick to that day

So now only a select few I will borrow money to and only if my cash flow situation is good. Not going hungry because you want to buy a new laptop or iPad. Even fell out with two friends because I lent them money, I needed it, they were stalling, then I was hearing they are buying whips and sh*t. When I approached them pissed about it they were dropping "so what money over your boys yeah?". I couldn't believe the audacity. From there I learned only lend if you can afford to live with late payments.

We sorted it all out and we made up but valuable life lessons were learned that day.

I don't understand how some people can behave like that, I don't condone violence at all but when hands get put on some people they can't have any complaints.

If somebody lends me money they won't have to chase me to find out where it is, soon as the clock strikes 2.30am and money lands in the Natwest I will drop it on them.

Got the money back form one of them like a day or two after I got into the argument with them, which annoyed me a bit more especially as when I argued with them they were like it's nothing, I'll get the money to you.  The other one I didn't because he ended up in prison a little after that.  I wrote it off and we spoke and them man apologised for taking the piss.  These are guys I grew up from like 12 with so I was happy I could move forward.  I think it was a thing where they took my kindness for weakness in all honesty which is sad because for me keeping to my word holds precedence over everything.  If I borrow money first thing I'm planning is how and when I am paying them back and it is as important to me as paying rent.

I lend to a friend regularly I don't mind helping her out she pays me bk.

I've been taken advantage of though in the past with other ppl, but live & learn.

Certain ppl ill never lend too ever again but it was a small price to pay to see the real them.

I will lend money to people once, but never ever ever ask for it back. I write it off as soon as I hand it over.

 

If they give it back on time, or with consistent updates, then no worries. If they long it out, then I will never lend again.
