Herd that they are From Brixton and couple man from lewisham sides are joing up with all of that foolishness. Had 2 laugh and for once a coudnt blame when the police were going on aggy towards them. Guest Removal Man Posted July 23, 2007 Report Share Posted July 23, 2007 are you talkin the official beginning?or jus the lame-o London beginning?both reallywell i don't kno how it started in d UKbut L.A...don;t kno how correct dis is, but i read it in a book called 'Have Gun, Will Travel' all about the rise and fall of Suge Knight, Deathrow, Biggie & Tupac.apparantly Crips started off as gang who all wore their school Football jackets round town, which happened to be blue, one night the gang rob a Korean owned liquor store, one gang member runs in holdin a Walking Stick. wen the police turn up to interview the Korean guys, one Older who don;t speak english starts tryin to tell the officer that one was holdin a 'Crip Stick', as in 'Cripple Stick', 'Walking Stick'. some reporter on the scene mis interprets wots bein said and goes home to write a report/story about the Gang who call themselves 'The Crips' had jus robbed some Liquor store. paper comes out, the gang sees it, sees they've been called 'The Crips' and decide to roll with it.from dere the crew just grew big and formed alliances with all d other crews till there was bare people walkin round town wearin blue. den one time, one little crew (from Compton i thunk) gets into a ruckas wit some next crew who aren't Crips, The Crip guys call on bare other Crips to go an meet up and bang heads wit dis other crew. wen they turn up, it turns out the other crew are safe wit the Crips as well and have bought bare street teams who rep Crips. theres some big Ruckas and all the Crips bar the one click from Compton decide to side wit the Crew. the fight forms a divide and the beaten up Crips go back to Compton and decide to shed their Blue Colours. from there they started wearin red cos it was opposite to blue and calling themselves 'The Bloods' as it was a popular term of endearment that had started amongst the Afro-Americans who fought in the Vietnam War.Bloods grew, but haver reached the same numbers as The Crips.
