Someone explain to me why I should do chest and triceps on the same day please! Everyone says doing chest works tris and tris work chest. Fine, I agree. So surely getting in a tricep workout on monday and then getting in another (sort of) tricep workout as part of my chest workout on wednesday is even better than doing more loads of triceps on monday and not being able to do as much on my chest exercises coz my triceps are knackered?

I'm a bit confused, I've been doing some cardio for like a month and half to get my upper body into shape, but instead I've gained muscle on my legs and my weight has remained the same?What exercises should I do to help me with pecs/abs?
it depends on how intense your upper body training is. weight training burns more fat btw, and you lose fat better by eating well. so increase your protein and lower your carbs, and choose from the routines in here for chest/abs.

i dont do chest and triceps on the same day. ur triceps are big muscles, they work hard enough on a chest day. give it 2days rest then do triceps along with biceps as a full arm workout. thats why lots of guys have good biceps and crappy tris, cos they work out their bi's very well but not triceps. and NO, the workout they get from doing chest is not enough to build them to their proper potential. when you build your tris properly in isolation, they will serve your chest workouts better.

Jus recovered from a shoulder impingement.tuesday - gym 30 mins treadmill. weights - back, shoulders, chest light weight like 25-30kg with 20-25 reps, do em slow so it burns. not really lookin to put on weight at allthursday - boxingsaturday - gym 30 mins treadmill - legs bout 30-40kg, not really calf muscles, find i become less light on my feet at boxin.go for the odd midnight jog when i'm up for it. once i'm fully fit, two days boxin, one at gym

i went to my mates boxing gym the other day, and after 20mins of hitting the bags and stuff with a medicine ball i was pooped. i seriously need to step my cardio up, but i hate it

i cycle everywhere incl to and from gym; 35 mins with hills etc.im starting 2 do roadwork now though cause i need to drop to 12.5st (+/- 14st @ 6"0 right now)

yh i may start a blog, i would invite my girls in my front room for a work out session, but all my friends go to the gym because they are big ballers, i am too of course, however, i would rather spend my money on cadbury's hot chocolate pudding cups, they are a pound, every week that a mounts to 5 pounds, i estimate that to be round about membership costs therefore i figured i would use my right and left brain and have the best of both :D

f*ck*ng ell, may have restructure my workout schedule...Usually do:Tues: LegsThurs: ChestFri: Arms & shoulders...Sun: BackThing is, just got back from gym now & my triceps are f*cked so may no longer be able to follow through with a proper arm workout straight after a day of chest....Could barely do push-ups & incline bench press afterwards. Even at 5KG dumbells, I was f*cked.

lolStarted doing full body got bored of the single muscle group everyday thing Mon:Legs - Squats, Leg press ,LungesBack - Lat pull down, Barbell rows, Wide arm pull upsChest - Bench press, Fly machine, Cable machineWed:Legs - Dead Lifts, Seated hamstring machine, Straight leg deadliftsBack - T Bar rows, Lat pull down, Dumb bell rows Chest - Dumb bell press, Chest press machine, Dumb bell FlysFriday:Legs - Squats, Monster walk, Inner thigh machineBack - Lat pull down, Wide arm pull ups, Cable machine Chest - Bench Press, Dumbbell press Cable MachineAlso do abs at the end and and dips in between. Shoulders at home because they look pretty decent already. I don't do arms is that bad thing How could i improve that ?

I'm starting gym aftre work today.Actually forgotten a lot of exercises to do.Looking to split my gym days as follows:Tuesday - Biceps and BackThursday - Chest and TricepsSaturday - Legs and ShouldersIf people can just list some exercises then I will check online during my lunch break what they are and pick what ones to do.I do want to do the 5x5 routine. I posted in that thread about my apprehensions towards jumping on it straight away.
