Will be ordering a iMac, getting it so I can learn the OS, aswell as have my first mac really, any time I have to troubleshoot a mac it just gets peak.

 

I want to run windows 7, with office now on the mac i won't need to use it very often at all but there are still some applications I will need windows for.

 

Dual booting seems kinda inconvinient all be it small but still.

 

Basically want to know if 16gb is overkill or will 8gb be fine?

Yeah, Serato the software is free.

 

I got a controller so once that plugs in recognises it and is effectively the license

 

nah serato isnt free for all controllers. i had to cop the full version from ebay for bout £60

Waiting for the apple announcement which i believe is tommorow. I think my sister gets a student discount so if nothing better is announced i will go ahead unless u got a link or saaink.

I like being able to upgrade and tinker inside a machine so the mac mini is intruiging.

I got an unused SSD and 16gb ram is cheap enough for me to pick some up.

Work actually gave me a MBP to use along side my windows machine so im getting used to it slowly.

I've re-installed it millions of times, to no avail, so hopefully Yosemite is more stable

Tried to install DivX on my Mac to convert/watch films that aren't mp4 got frustrated trying to convert and deleted it, long story short every once in a while I boot up my Mac it comes with that update DivX although the software is nowhere to be found on my Mac.

 

What can I do? Sh*t is jarring.

What can I do? Sh*t is jarring.

 

 

allow all them kinda plug ins, all you need is Perian and VLC.

 

Try running AppCleaner, it should find the remaining app files.

Ye appstore but I would advise in the strongest possible sense that you download from AppStore but don't install.

Create bootable sun using disk maker x or disk utility

BACKUP

boot to usb

Wipe had

Install your new copy of os x
