Cheers peeps.

And well done to everyone else.

Officially got my diploma in law, places next to the degree *fist pumps*

now to take a break from the education sh*t.

Props

Whats the next step?

Next step, is placement or something. Think, I'ma be in Nigeria for a while come October.

Then next year, do LPC or BPTC. The latter is my preference, but no matter what they say, it is still unbelievably elitist.

AH

**Gets demotivated again**

Law just seems like a lot of years of work to get into a highly competitive industry which seems so predigest still

Thinking of doing a banking internship in Ghana next summer, kill 2 birds with one stone, see the family and improve the CV.

I know what you're thinking.

I was thinking kill 2 birds with a tire and some flames.

Anglia Ruskin @ Jas

Student Finance are a joke, only way I'm getting my loan in 2010 is if they use it to start the new years countdown.

Its more prejudice at the Bar then in a solicitors office. You just have to make the right connections, do a lot of pro bono, get a lot of legal experience and kiss arse.

You thinking of doing law then?

I would advise most people who want to do law, to do a degree that they enjoy first hand and then go and do the GDL!

@CP - If you can get a good banking internship where you're doing more than photocopying and stuff, and get paid, go for it. Situation in England is crap at the minute.

IIRC it can take up to seven weeks. You should be OK.

f*ck sake. I've applied for a parking permit @ uni. I got the place, now shes emailed me saying to bring car logbook, my license and insurance cover letter.

All is good but the car is registered in my bros name, I know they will chat sh*t.

:/

just take the license and insurance and say you've lost the log book but are in process of getting a new one.

They will say bring it in at a later date, but once its all in full swing no-one will chase you up for minor biz like that. Licence and insurance are the important ones
