"In Wenger we trust"

NowI woke up at 1am to check the net expecting to see at least ONE signing announed on Skysports/Arsenal.com, but suprise suprise there was f*ck all. There was me thinking with our squad being thin as it is.. with certain players being extremly injury prone Wenger would bring at least one guy inWenger before the Twente game "We will bring in a midfielder certainly"Wenger the other day " we will be up all night if we have to" (in regards to the transfer window)The board "If Wenger wants a player for 30 million, will be more than happy to bring the player/s in" Even TF was convinced Wenger would pull something out the bag..are the Board/Wenger gassing about money? Did Wenger simply not want to spend the kind of money that is being thrown about? Or do you think he just couldnt find the right players? What is everyones views?

Apparantly he had bids rejected for Barry and Alonso.Wenger has done best what he could do in the league these past years. last year was unfortunate, there was nothing he could do. when jose was in full flight, no one could touch chelsea. we all know hes not gonna spend in excess of 20/25m on a player.dont think we should let the non signing of a player dampen spirits.

I went to bed at 10 O'Clock last night. It felt like christmas eve ,and I was expecting presents in the morning. I came down stairs and the tree was scant naked, stocking was empty and not even an Orange in sight :D.However, I still think we'll do OK. Arsene has practically said this year we'll be going for the CL and seeing as though we cannot face any English tems until the QF's who know what might happen. We will need big seasons from the likes of Diaby,Eboue,Rosicky,RvP, players that have yet to show us what they are really capable of. BUt that is a very real possibilty imo.and we have Bischoff who is a bit of an unknown.

Its gonna be the same sh*t as usual, we will look good up until Feb/March & we will all get carried away thinking Wenger has done it again. Then an injury to Cesc/RvP or another key player, & we will slip away & end the season empty handed again. You can't go into a season relying on NO injurys in order to win things. Wenger has f*cked up in the transfer market AGAIN. Just like he did after our title winning seasons.

Wenger - Eboue is becoming a pass masterBy Richard ClarkeArsène Wenger has praised the early-season contribution of Emmanuel Eboue - especially his final pass. The Ivorian midfielder has featured in every game so far, either on the right or as cover in the centre. His manager believes the unsung 25-year-old was one of few players who held his own at Fulham and his overall contribution is getting better.“Since the start of the season, Eboue has played well,” said Wenger. “He had two good games in central midfield. At Fulham, he was one of the players who was not disappointing and he had a good performance against Newcastle as well.“He's a football player. Sometimes I play him, sometimes Walcott, sometimes Nasri [out wide].“There was a little bit of frustration from the fans because they thought that he didn't always have enough end-product, but he has improved a lot in that respect. He has put over good final balls since the start of the season.”[Tuesday, September 02, 2008]

Wenger "Eboue is like a new signing in center midfield, the Newcastle game convinced me we didnt need to bring anybody in. We also have Diaby, Rosicky and Eduardo back after long injury spells. They will also be like new singings. I believe the squad is big enough and mentally strong enough to win things"What Wenger will say.

If he delayed the signing of Silvestre & Bischoff to last night.. No one will complain.Am sure he tried to make some signings last night but he failed. But all I will say is. Now, he as no excuse come the end of the season. He had the money and all the time in the world. He cant use these youngster as an excuse anymore. Some of them are 2-3 seasons deep now.If we are trophyless end of the season then the board really need to start questioning the man.
