it would be a big name signing to show we still had pulling power but it would also probably eat up a lot of our transfer budget and theres still other areas that need filling hope the Fabiano rumours have truth to them if not Fergies meant to be a fan of Vucinic and while i'm not convinced, Fergie knows more bout this stuff than i do and i hope Roma get pushed into selling De Rossi to us as i believe the guy could be the "missing link" throw in a running left winger to the mix and it'll be 4 in a row

Empoli youngster Alberto Massacci claims he has signed for Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United. The 16-year-old right-back has never figured in the first-team squad of the Serie B side but impressed United's scouts during an international youth team event last year, where he was voted player of the tournament."When they called me, I really couldn't believe it," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I didn't believe that it was really him (Sir Alex Ferguson) on the phone."Reports suggest Massacci has already spent three days in Manchester, having a medical, and is set to fly back on Sunday to sign on the dotted line, and the teenager admits he has been left somewhat stunned by it all.He added: "It was him (Ferguson), and I had an hour-long chat with him, in English. He seemed to me a modest, simple, incredible person."Nobody, not him, nor the whole atmosphere, made the pressure of who they are and what they represent in footballing history weigh on my shoulders."He added: "In life a chance like this only comes past you once, and you've got to grab it with both hands."Even if at 16 years old it isn't an easy decision, you have to leave your home, family and friends. But I don't want to have regrets."It is not the first time Ferguson and United have raided Italian youth teams, having previously snapped up Giuseppe Rossi and Federico Macheda.Massacci becomes United's third signing of the summer, after shelling out £15million on Antonio Valencia and bringing in free agent Michael Owen.

Fiorentina have confirmed they had received an approach from Arsenal for Felipe Melo. The Viola could be willing to do a deal, but only if Emmanuel Eboue is allowed to move to Italy as a makeweight in any transfer.

Viola eye Melo-Eboue swapFiorentina have released a statement revealing they would be willing to negotiate the sale of Felipe Melo to Arsenal with Emmanuel Eboue involved in a potential swap deal.Brazil international Melo had been strongly linked with the Gunners only to put pen-to-paper on a contract extension at the Viola on 30th June.A buy-out clause, said to be €25million (£21.4m), has been included in Melo's new deal and recent reports have suggested Juventus could match that fee. However, Fiorentina have claimed Arsenal remain the only side to have made an offer that comes close to activating the midfielder's sale clause.A statement on the club's official website read: "Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, in denying the transfer rumours of the past few hours, which sees Felipe Melo definitely at other clubs and reporting potential meetings to finalise the transfer of the player, underlines the following:"In case the footballer has already reached an agreement with any club, the release clause fixed with the player himself is €25million. We would not contemplate any exchange, unless it is to the liking of Fiorentina."Arsenal is the only club to have come close to the sum established by the release clause."Fiorentina in turn proposed to the aforementioned club a reduction in the amount set by the release clause by including right-back (Emmanuel) Eboue in the deal."Eboue, who signed for the Gunners from Beveren in 2005, has recently grown unsettled at Emirates Stadium and has not ruled out an exit.http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5414959,00.html

United Forums:"The people newspaper are set to unveil a mega deal involving a english club according to one of its reporters who was speaking on a radio station, he didnt give any names away. It could be that he just wants people to buy his paper tomorrow but he sounded very convincing and said everyone will be shocked by the money involved in this deal"Prob something about City or Chelsea.
