We are in a bit of a f*cked situation atm.
We came 4th last year and had a final to attend. We still had a bad season and I was talking transfers.
There is clearly no concrete interest in Denilson and Almunia
Thanks for the info.No problem c*nt.
as soon as Bendtner's dad say a team is after his son, days later the a club official from that club will deny any interest (Drotmund & Sporting).
Thought you said Journalists were lazy? dont you laugh at people who read certian papers? once again, thanks for the info.Journalists are lazy, however I cant blame journalists when its direct quotes from Bendtner's dad and club officials.
These players have to be shifted for us to complete deals.
Wenger already had a £50m budget, I don't see where he's struggling £12m Alvarez £12m Gervinho £9m Samba = £33m = £17m left? Maybe you're not good at maths or your inside man is bumping you.More likely the latter tbhThanks for the budget info, smh.
there wages are too high to stay and not be in our 25 man squad.
Do you think if their not in the Arsenal 25 man squad they would be here? think about it, you're contradicting yourself, saying there are no concrete offers but worried about them sitting in reserves on £30k a week.... clueless. What are you talking about?!
This is where Fergie is so lucky, he has so many mini-me's to pass his swag players on too for great prices, he never has to worry about sales.
Plenty of Mini Me's;CarrickO'SheaBerbatovGiggsScholesGibsonObertanBebeEvansAll on over £60k a week, all in the 25 man squad. You contradicting yourself again.Say whaat you like, listen to what you want to here.

To clarify something. Before January 1st, 1990Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone*Sagna, Eboue, Clichy*, Gibbs*, Traore*, Vermaelen, Djourou*, Koscielny, SquillaciSong*, Diaby, Fabregas*, Denilson*, Nasri, Arshavin, Rosicky, Pedro Botelho (unclear if he's homegrown)Van Persie, Bendtner*, Chamakh, Vela (unclear if he's homegrown), Walcott*Szczesny, Jenkinson, Bartley, Frimpong, Coquelin, Lansbury, Wilshere, Ramsey, etc don't need to be registered.Thats 25 players. It's suspected Pedro is going out on loan, so 24 add Gervinho back to 25. Alex Chamberlain is under 21 so doesn't effect anything, but then to add Samba and however else you need to move someone and right now the best bid we had for a player is for our captain, smh.All of those above are on first-team wages (bar Pedro). There is no way PHW & Co. letting Wenger not name players on first-team wages, and be unavailable for 6 months at least to the first-team. We can all say shot Almunia, Mannone, Traore, Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner, etc but if there no takers or the only takers are gonna rape us on the fee, then to free up spots its gonna be Clichy, Fabregas, Nasri, etc :D

TBH it wouldnt surprise me if Wenger took somewhat a reserve team to play games and some of the first-team to just train and do appearance sh*t for fans. The difficulty of the start to our season and playing in them climates wouldn't surprise me if our key players where rested from game time until Cologne.

Arsenal are setting aside £27million to try to solve their defensive problems with a double swoop for Gary Cahill and Chris Samba. The Gunners are loading manager Arsene Wenger up with a £60m transfer kitty in a bid to keep up with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea. And their plan to go for both defenders shows just how desperate they are to add Premier League experience to their squad.
Arsene Wenger could sacrifice his captain Cesc Fabregas in order to keep Samir Nasri at The Emirates. The Arsenal manager’s immediate concern is to refresh his squad with new players – and sort out the futures of Fabregas, Nasri and Gael Clichy.Arsenal have rejected a £27m bid for Fabregas from Barcelona but the Champions League winners will make an improved offer this week. If that reaches £30m-plus, then Arsenal will accept. That will leave Wenger with the necessary cash to offer French international Nasri a lucrative new contract. The pair talked last week, but no decision was made. Nasri has a year left on his current agreement. But the money from the sale of Fabregas, added to the savings on the midfield star’s £90,000-a-week wages, will give Wenger much more room for manoeuvre.Clichy is less of a priority. Like Nasri, he has 12 months left until he becomes a free agent and both Liverpool and Roma are keen on a £7m deal.Wenger has England international Kieran Gibbs available and Thomas Vermaelen can also play left-back.The primary targets for Wenger in the close season are Christopher Samba, of Blackburn, Bolton’s Gary Cahill, Ricky Alvarez of Velez Sarsfield and the talented Lille striker Gervinho.Wenger has £35m at his disposal, but his transfer fund would be boosted by the sales of Fabregas, Nicklas Bendtner, Emmanuel Eboué, Clichy and Brazilian Denilson.
Arsenal will offer Jack Wilshere a new five-year deal that will keep him at The Emirates until 2016.The 19-year-old signed a contract last November that took him into the £40,000 a week bracket. But his progress for Arsenal and England has been so impressive that he will be in a line for a pay rise of more than £10,000 a week.In the last year, Wilshere has not only broken into the Arsenal first team as a regular but has also forced his way into England boss Fabio Capello’s plans. He was rated by many as England’s man of the match against Switzerland in the 2-2 draw at Wembley earlier this month and is a certainty for the Euro 2012 finals squad to go to Poland and Ukraine next summer.Wilshere’s status in the pecking order of midfielders for club and country has rocketed over the past 12 months. From being an emerging player of rich promise, the teenager is acknowledged as the real deal.He has more than held his own against the best opponents in the Premier League, Champions League and in international combat. It has also been noted inside Arsenal that Wilshere is the kind of homegrown player who will commit himself fully to the Gunners’ cause.Arsenal are keen to ensure that while others – including Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri may have reached a personal crossroads in their careers - Wilshere recognises the platform the club want to give him.So Arsenal want to cement his future and Wilshere looks certain to accept.
Cesc Fabregas is willing to sacrifice a £5million windfall if he lands a dream move to Barcelona. The midfielder has a clause in his Arsenal contract that entitles him to 15% cash from any move away from The Emirates. But if a deal is struck for Fabregas, he will opt for every penny to go into the Gunners' coffers. The Spaniards had a £27million bid turned down this week - but are set to come back with an improved offer when they approach the Gunners again on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger will next week signal his intentions in the transfer market. The Arsenal boss has recently returned to London from his holiday and is fully focused on finalising deals to bolster his squad.Deals for Lille forward, Gervinho, Argentinian attacking midfielder Ricardo Alvarez and Southampton starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to be finalised. All three deals had hit complications causing delays in completing the signings. As wearethenorthbank.com exclusively revealed earlier this month, Chief Scout, Steve Rowley travelled to Argentina to run the rule over Alvarez again (they have been tracking the player for three years). The deal hit a snag as Vélez Sarsfield upped their valuation of Alvarez, whilst the player’s agent played Arsenal off against other interested clubs including AS Roma and Malaga. The Gervinho deal has been smoother, as the player quickly agreed personal terms, but late interest from Manchester City and PSG allowed Lille to drive up the asking price for a player with only one year left on his contract.Lille wanted €15m, but the agreed price is around €13m and with the French transfer window officially opening on July 1st, the deal is expected to be formally announced on Friday.Arsenal’s lengthy pursuit of Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to be nearing completion. As reported by wearethenorthbank.com in May, Southampton were unwilling to sell their prized asset without a hefty 40 per cent sell-on clause, which Arsenal were reluctant to agree to.Liverpool’s interest has also stalled the deal, but the player, and his father, ex-England winger Mark Chamberlain, prefer a move to Arsenal.
Arsenal are continuing their pursuit to strengthen their defence by signing two central defenders.wearethenorthbank.com can reveal that Arsene Wenger’s top target is Phil Jagielka, a player who he has attempted to sign in the past two transfer windows.Wenger is also continuing in his efforts to sign Chris Samba, having had an £8m bid turned down by Blackburn last month. The other centre back on the wanted list is Bolton’s Gary Cahill, but Arsenal are reluctant to meet the £17m release clause for a player that has just one year left on his contract. It is also understood that Cahill would prefer a move to Manchester City.Arsenal are looking to offload Sebastien Squillaci who endured a torrid debut season and Wenger wants five first team centre backs to provide strength in depth.Having lost Johan Djourou during the entire 2009-10 campaign and Thomas Vermaelen for the majority of last season Wenger does not want a similar situation occurring again. Arsenal spent periods of last season with just two fit first team centre backs, with youth team captain Ignasi Miquel being drafted in to the squad on more than one occasion.Having failed to land Samba for £8m, Arsenal have been in talks with Blackburn but believe the Ewood Park club’s £15m valuation of the player is unrealistic.Blackburn upped their initial £12m asking price after realising that 15 per cent of any fee for Samba will be paid to his former club, Hertha Berlin. The player is eager to move to Arsenal and negotiations are ongoing.Cahill remains a target but Wenger would prefer to sign Jagielka as Wenger and Chief Scout, Steve Rowley, believe that Jagielka is the best English centre back at present.Arsenal are weighing up a bid for the Everton centre back, but the merseyside club will be reluctant to sell a player who they see as future club captain.Jagielka, 28, and his family are settled in the north west, but Everton may welcome the funds to bolster the squad elsewhere, particularly in attack.
Arsenal are preparing a bid for Newcastle United left-back José Enrique.wearethenorthbank.com understands that the Spanish fullback is Arsene Wenger’s preferred choice to replace Gael Clichy.Clichy has not agreed a new contract with Arsenal and will be sold before the start of the season.Wenger wants a ready-made replacement as Keiran Gibbs can not yet be relied upon due to his inexperience and recent injuries. The Arsenal Boss had earmarked Leighton Baines and Emilio Izaguirre as potential replacements for Clichy, but has now turned his attentions to José Enrique. The 25-year-old has a year left on his Newcastle contract.Arsenal are also in the market for an experienced goalkeeper to compliment the youthful talent of Wojciech Szczesny and Luckasz Fabianski, as they are looking to offload Manuel Almunia.

I cried tears of joy, especially the Squillaci bit.

Despite rumours that a deal was close to completion, Lille’s President Michel Seydoux has insisted that the French champions have yet to receive a formal offer from Arsenal for Gervinho.Speaking to RMC Sport he said “We know he has a personal interest in Arsenal. For now there as only been a simple contact [with the club] but no real offer for the player”.Clearly the player is on Wenger’s radar but it seems a deal is not as close as many have reported. And while Lille are willing to let Gervinho go, Seydoux ruled out any move for Eden Hazard. Arsenal made contact earlier in the month about a possible transfer but with huge bids from oil rich clubs like PSG and Man City being spoken about, Lille will refuse sell the most sought after Belgian since Plastic Bertand.
