Guest Awesome Kong
But i swear i was told its bad for your credit history to check it No it's not at all. You can view it as many times as you like as it doesn't count, but if you apply to lots of credit companies in a given period of time then other creditors can see this and that can be bad to your score. Kurtis
Thats the report not score. score doesnt mean sh*t, theres absolutely no point buying it all companies have different criteria and will take into account your credit report info, the info you give them (salary, marital status, children, renter or homeowner etc) and whatever info they already hold to generate their own score and use that to score you on whatever product you want. no one but they know what that criteria is and they vary wildly. so you could have 1 credit product for 2 months and your score would say 900 or whatever, but try applying for a mortgage with that.... Mr. Gayle
CS David, the score means nothing. CreditExpert score wont mean nothing to Barclays bank, each company does their own scoring systems. At best it gives you a rough idea, if you have bare defaults then of course your "score" will be low and would be harder to get credit. Kurtis
you MAY be able to get a sub prime mortgage of some kind but the interest rates will make you cry
Fresh
Barclaycard's bureaucracy is jokes. I asked to raise my credit limit by £250 on my initial visa they said no under any circumstances. I asked for a Gold visa it came in 3 days with 5 times my credit limit.
