I remember channels like Al Jazeera Sport disappearing off the Dreambox from a satellite I use in Qatar when it got rebranded as beIN.

Sky started doing the whole card to box pairing.

I would go for a cable box if your only just getting involved.

Don't believe HD channels have long left on sky, but right now they're more servers for sky.

Kryptview boxes are pretty cheap and cable servers are similar price to sky.
