WENGER OUT

Nobody would have said Walcott was rinsed if he didn't get injured.

Certain players who have been "rinsed" and haven't been injured currently aren't being called rinsed lol.

Who's nobody?

Your casual Arsenal fan or people with an understanding of injury prevention & recovery?

Show me your post where you pre-called Walcott or any of our players injuries...

If we had a fit first team regularly..we'd be up there 100%

Medical team is fishy, same shit every year

Ultimately, who would the medical team answer to?

And if they were incompetent, who has the power to replacements of said medical team?

The medical staff don't answer to Wenger.

Wenger doesn't employs the medical staff, the club do.

Wenger "rinses" his players in games, but like I've said he is the one giving these man countless days off, last season the players had to request more training and longer sessions.

@raymondverheije: Maybe we should help our amateur friends at Arsenal a bit as they make little progress with their internal investigation & AW prefers denial

@raymondverheije: In the last phase of a rehabilitation process, the game minutes of the player have to be increased step by step in 2 separate phases.

@raymondverheije: In Phase 1, the emphasis is on developing the match fitness. Once a week and step by step, the player gradually gets more game minutes.

@raymondverheije: Phase 1: gradual development match fitness. In week 1: 25 game minutes; in week 2: 45 minutes; in week 3: 65 minutes & in week 4: 90 minutes

@raymondverheije: The Arsenal coaching staff applied Phase 1 correctly with Theo Walcott at the end of November and early December. http://t.co/eitAWQTu0a

@raymondverheije: However, when gradually increasing game minutes there is also a Phase 2 in which the player has to learn to play more than 1 game per week.

@raymondverheije: In other words, in Phase 2 the focus shifts from ‘developing match fitness’ to ‘recovery in 2-3 days instead of 5-6 days between matches’.

@raymondverheije: Phase 2: Weekend: 90min -> Midweek: 25min -> Weekend: 90min -> Midweek: 45m -> Weekend: 90m -> Midweek: 65m -> Weekend: 90m -> Midweek: 90m

@raymondverheije: With this gradual build-up of midweek game minutes, step by step, the player develops the ability to recover within 2-3 instead of 5-6 days.

@raymondverheije: One does not have to be Einstein or a Sport Scientist to understand these principles, right? The coach only needs a brain & logical thinking

@raymondverheije: But what did our incompetent friends at Arsenal do in Phase 2? Indeed, Walcott played almost 6 full games in 21 days. http://t.co/Qka73OQvZV

@raymondverheije: So, instead of the gradual build-up of 90-25-90-45-90-65-90-90, Walcott had to do 90-90-90-90-90-90. Russian roulette http://t.co/Uhk029i4QN

@raymondverheije: So, Walcott was thrown in the deep & his body did not get the opportunity to gradually develop ability to recover in 2-3 days between games.

@raymondverheije: As a consequence of his incomplete recovery between games in Phase 2, Walcott accumulated lots of unnecessary fatigue during those 21 days.

@raymondverheije: Accumulated fatigue results in slower nervous system so signal from the brain travels slower to the muscles responsible for protecting knee.

@raymondverheije: Obviously, an ACL injury is often the result of more than one reason. But accumulated fatigue is by far the most dominant one in most ACL's.

@raymondverheije: Hopefully, our amateur friends at Arsenal understand this information so it will help them to reduce the number of Arsenal injury disasters.

@raymondverheije: Anyway, the Walcott case study is yet another example of coaches being responsible for injuries as also shown by the studies of @JanEkstrand

Raymond ver once again

I never predicted his injury, but by the same token I have plenty of posts highlighting the overuse of players & throwing players back in too soon.

I'd seen it and on here I already said while there is substance to what he says, he always talks after the matter and hardly ever before.

Why didnt he call Ramsey's injury...

You're smarter than this FFS.

Stop looking at isolated situations & think about the principle. He's highlighted poor practice when it comes to injury prevention & recovery on other players eg. RVP at United & we saw that same principle with Walcott i.e. rushing players back from injury.

We see it all the time in football. I mean, you support Arsenal FFS, are you purposely ignoring the constant mismanagement of injuries over the past 6-8 years or so?
