lol at the big bang

probaly the only thing me and my muslim brothers can only agree about

a bang and then everything just appeared

pmsl getthef*ckouttahere

billions and billions of years = just appeared?

what you just mentioned was what god did ,the entire universe in 7 day's

no wait he just made earth in 7 days ,he made the rest of the universe in his spare time right?

Btw the big bang wasn't like, a bang and then everything appeared, the first stars didn't start appearing until like 200 million years after the big bang. So the universe was dark and cloudly for fucking ages before light started sprinkling the canvas with glitter.

It took gravity ages to pull stars together and start creating heavy elements. Think about it, the universe is 13.7 billion years old, earths only been around for like 4.5 billion. Theres only been life for 3.6 billion years, and it took 2 and half billion years until that life became multicellular. Then 800,000 years after that the first examples of humans came about, that is not a click, bang, done, that's fucking BILLIONS OF YEARS!!!

It does when the even of the big bang comes about as a unbalance between anti matter and matter which would have normally (pre current universe) immediately eliminated each other. That part of the physics is explainable, gravity eventually pulled the matter together in the cosmic soup that existed after the unbalance which set off a massive chain reaction leading to our eventual existence. Whats not explainable yet is why this extraordinary quantum event happened in the first place, and if we're just one of an infinite number of potential bubbles waiting to pop into existence.

We talk about "something from nothing" like we have any real understanding of the quantum universe. The observable universe you see is only 20% of its total mass. A teaspoon of matter from a neutron star weighs as much as 900 pyramids, and if dropped from 1 metre would hit it's surface at 4.3 million miles per hour (#GoogleFacts).

So that should give some perspective of matter, on the supermassive and supersmall scale, we shouldn't even try to quantize it as the numbers are larger than we can fathom really. It's not such a fantastic idea compared with, I dunno, some guy said there should be planets so now there is.

Science tells us that you can't create something from nothing, yet the Big Bang occurred from nothing..

I'm confused tbh..Can't decide between God/Creation theory and the Big Bang... Hope they do discover a definitive/undisputable theory within my lifetime

On the subject of the start of life on our planet... Maybe it was something like the one way trip to Mars, that they are planning in a few years

Sending resources from one planet to the next, with no means to get back

I'd like to go if they could guarantee quality of life

That's the thing though, it didn't occur from nothing, science says that too. What we define as the universe is the observable matter, indeed a pre-universe exists but before we can understand that plane of existence we have to figure out the mechanics behind our own.

What is for certain is all matter that exists, and ever will exists, exists now. And always has existed, you've been around since the beginning of time

That is a sick thought

Hearing/learning stuff like this >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Makes you feel like you are an important part of something huge

I guess this type of discussion will always be interwoven with theories about matter/life etc on other planets and universes. Why are we 'alone'?

That is a question that definitely needs to be answered

If that question is answered, does that displell the God theories?

A big bang does not explain the presence of matter from a matterless state

It does when the even of the big bang comes about as a unbalance between anti matter and matter which would have normally (pre current universe) immediately eliminated each other. That part of the physics is explainable, gravity eventually pulled the matter together in the cosmic soup that existed after the unbalance which set off a massive chain reaction leading to our eventual existence. Where did the matter come from?

There is still no theory for the source of matter (or equal negative matter) from a matterless state.

All the big bang theory does, is hypothesize about the furthest possible conceivable moment in the past, but by no means is it an explanation of the beginning. In the future we will be able to hypothetically conceive earlier and earlier into the past, but an exponentially recurring number never reaches the axis.

IMO Understanding the concept of time is more important than understanding the inception of mass. Our concept of time leads us to assume that everything has a beginning. So, what happened the moment before the first ever moment? Was there a momentless state parallel to the metterless state? What caused time to begin? The bible talks about an Alpha and Omega which can be interpreted as time being circular and not linear from one end to another. Could our concept of time be an illusion created by the speed at which it takes our minds to apprehend the things that have happened in one single moment. Is time one single instance that we apprehend in a linear sequence; which is the law of time.

I need to smoke some weed and come up with the answers.
