Good win - Lpool did well, two stonewall pens for me and they missed chance after chance

Ozil instrumental in both goals but won't get any headlines, chambo was good

Sanogo put himself about, closed down defenders..a performance fit for any championship side tbh but his touch was poor

I don't know why were are signing players from the french 2nd league, but we didn't consider taking tom ince on loan, who has a better c/v than sanogo

sterling impressed me and countinho's ball to studge when he tried to round fabby was outstanding

Wenger's comments when asked about what Jose said.

@OliverKayTimes: Wenger's on Mourinho's "specialist in failure" dig: "Silly, disrespectful [..] more embarrassing for Chelsea than for me" (via @amarjourno)

This is the kinda thing Benitez should've done to Fergie instead of the facts thing. Stay classy whilst brushing it off. Don't get drawn into the bullshit.

Mancini got drawn into it...

Yh, but he won the league so nobody can beat him over the head with comments for ever more. Rafa came 2nd so his reasoned and well thought out comments will be viewed as a rant by the british media. Remember it is they who shape and form most peoples opinions on football.

They have people in pubs up and down the country thinking Wayne Rooney is one of the top 10 players in world football.

They had people until last year laughing at Zlatan.

They are the reason why certain people still question whether Messi could perform consistently in the premiership.

etc

on Jose Mourinho's comments…

I am embarrassed for him, honestly. First of all I would say that I didn't speak about him at all in my press conference, and I have no more to say… I am more disappointed for Chelsea than for me. I am not interested in the subject at all, and that is really genuine. If you are interested, and you have nothing better to do in your life, you are free to do it. But honestly, I cannot force my interest in things that are not interesting for me. I love football and I'm sorry to disappoint you, but what interests me is what happens on the pitch.

His well reasoned comments were called 'Rafa's rant' by the following morning which was months before the end of the season so him coming 2nd had nothing to do with the media reaction.

Granted.

A media who for the most part loved Fergie were always going to go off with that. However had Liverpool won the league it would've been quickly forgotten.

Alternatively Rafa could've done the Wenger thing.

Rafa's downfall is that he's also at Liverpool, and yes Liverpool have a lot of media people in place but I doubt the favourite national newspaper has many and his rant was on a written press day, he should have saved it for after a match win. If we lost today, Wenger would have made no comment on Mourinho, the win allowed him to comment, knock back, and make a dig.

Pretty sure Rafa lost the match he did the rant in the pre-match. Might be wrong tho.

I think we drew.

Quite an important detail that gets forgotten is that the 'rant' was shortly after Gerrard boxed up a DJ for daring to say no when he asked him to drop a Phil Collins riddim. Had it not been for the 'rant' I'm pretty sure that's all that anyone would have been talking about, I suppose not everyone gets the credit for deflecting and protecting their players.

He's improved a lot last couple of months.

Towards the end of last season he seemed to lose his confidence and stopped taking people on, but Brendan took him out of the limelight for a bit and he's starting to live up to the earlier hype.

Bulked up a bit too, hardly ever gets shrugged off the ball now.
