alan smith has been unlucky with injuries and the fact fergie decided he was gonna be the new keane didnt help him. Being critically honest at the moment, for a top four team the currency strikers need to be working in is goals and he just doesnt score enough atm. newcastle is a good move for him as he will play regularly and still be involved with a team capable of challenging for CL. You man will see some more of his technical ability when he's playing week in week out. hes far from average but his opportunity to hit them top top levels has passed him by IMO.
