rouleroule Posted October 23, 2007 Report Share Posted October 23, 2007 It's like they're all just waiting for a new manager to come in.And Dawson's a good defender but not good enough to carry the entire Spurs defence which is average at best - Rocha was bought as a back up player and that's all he is, Lee is not bad but not amazing either, Kaboul was bought as a good prospect for the future and he's been chucked in at the deep end after only having experience in French Ligue 1, Gardner is a Championship player....Basically we should've spent that 16 mil that we spent on the guy who can't hit a barn door on some defenders. Rsonist Posted October 23, 2007 Report Share Posted October 23, 2007 He is a very good solid defender.Obviously when you loose your mentor and one of the best defenders in the league to injury, who you built up such a solid strong partnership, you are going to suffer especially when you are still so young. He is allowed one off day, which was yesterday. But the amount of times last season Dawson saved us valuable points was ridiculous.Individually we have 2 good defenders in Kaboul and Dawson, but it takes time to build up a partnership, and until that is the case we will still continue to leak goals. FANTA Posted October 23, 2007 Report Share Posted October 23, 2007 He's OK from what i've seen.Seems bare shaky more time though dont see the difference between him and Steven Taylor.They're probably in the same class.But its always nice to have a young English defender coming through the ranks no matter how average they may be.Would like to see him play for another club and see what he does.But playing for Spurs at this present time no-one can look good.Robinson, Zokora, Taino, Jenas, Keane, Berbatov, Lennon, Bale, Rocha and Malbranque can testify.
