Getting married at 20 ?

Two girls who i went college with are both married now and they are only 20/21 years old. I personally think its madness.Am i the only one who thinks that age is a bit to young to be making such a committment ( im so bad at spelling i know) like that ?or am i just hating for the sake of it ?if your partner asked you for your hand in marriage at the age you are now , what would you say ?

Personally I think it's too young in this day and age. Is a massive committment and life now days is very expensive.Think there was a program on ITV4 a couple weeks ago about Britains Youngest Marriages, they did give a % of how many do actually work out and it wasn't good.

I tihnk they're on a hype. They need realism and need to see if when they become proper adults and have their careers under way they can still stand the test of time with that marriage.But there is one girl I went school with who has 2 kids and is married to some big man. She is my age going on 21. Most are propping out kids, not getting married.

I've been to two weddings this year of people I consider 'youngers'.It was jokes though, seeing bare goons and goonettes from ends scrubed up to celebrate a wedding.I wish the couples luck because marriage aint like school "You wanna go out with me? " then two days later its done. Also because they're young it wasn't to long ago they were linking or in different relationships like how us young people do. I couldn't bring my friend because he used to smash the smithereens out of the bride. Bun that.

My friends boyfriend proposed to her 2 weeks ago. He did say he wanted to live with her at first, and then get married... But who knows whats going on there. I'm pretty sure there were other ways he could have expressed his love for her, especially at 17.

I would say its too young however I know people who did it and seem very happy. As a girl if your aim in life is to settle, have kids and be a housewife then maybe it would work.

Yes, you're right but marriage is more than just for the girl...There might be dudes who think they're ready next thing you know, mid-life crisis and man wants to party like a rockstar...

All of the responses to this post are why most young marriages do not work.Personally, I know i could handle the commitment. I dont like how everybody just wants to bang out for 10 or so years before they settle down, low the tainted goods.Though yeh for most couples it is a bad bad idea, but then that is with ALL marriages, it isnt about the age really, just the people involved, and, looking at society today, most people arent ready, life is different now then it was a while ago *sighs sadly*and f*cking LOL@bare goons scrubbed up for a wedding.
