Suppose to be starting against Man City in the reserves

So where does he feature in all of your plans now?

IMO Fletcher has gone from playing every other game to being undroppable and Carrick is also undroppable and seeing as we are playing 4-4-2 he can't really fit in there

Cant play on the right wing because Valencia has that spot and then even Nani

Unless he converts to RB which is pointless because we have Neville, Rafael for now and then Oshea and Brown..

If we play 4-5-1 carrick and fletcher will still start and it would be to defensive to start hargreaves alongside them 2

I would use him as a sub tbh bit of an expensive one but no other way...

Hargreaves really is the man, however i dont think he'll ever be the same, saying that though if he's anywhere near what he was before lol at thinking he wont get in the United team.

hope he puts in a good performance tommorow if anyone can come back from that nightmare its someone like him

rotation has always been the name of the game.

an our CM isn't exactly consistantly good and settled i.e Carrick's on and off form, Scholes and Giggs's age,

and also the right back position isnt exactly nailed on if a 100% fit he plays in a CL final

According to Henry Winter Hargo won't be playing in reserve match. Supposedly we stressed it doesn't fit in with his training...

Hmmmm...

to be honest i wasn't even suprised when i saw this,

i was just a little suprised they couldnt come up with somthing a little more creative with the excuse

Isn't it Fergie that made it be known he was suppose to play in the reserves?

sums it up completly to be honest.

saying that though his recovery and him getting games could now be down to his confidence and mentality not the condition of his body

Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Owen Hargreaves is ready to return to action with Manchester United's reserve side.

The England international was due to end his near-18 month absence following surgery on both knees in a second string meeting with Manchester City on Thursday night.

But Old Trafford officials revealed on Wednesday that the midfielder would not feature, as the scheduled fixture interfered with his training regime.

Ferguson has now moved to clarify the situation, explaining that Hargreaves in fact went to see a specialist for the latest update.

Ready

And with the verdict positive, Ferguson believes an end to the 29-year-old's lengthy spell on the sidelines is in sight.

"Owen went to see a specialist yesterday (Thursday)," said the United boss.

"There is nothing wrong and the idea is for him to play in the next game.

"He has to play in the next game because he is ready to play."

United's reserve side is next due in action on Thursday, when they entertain Burnley at Altrincham's Moss Lane ground.

1-0 at half-time. Hargreaves has looked comfortable, largely playing it simple, glimpses of quality.

Would imagine Hargreaves will be replaced at halftime, seems to have been a positive run-out though. Hopefully he can build on this.

if its gonna be a risk playing him and he can only play once a week, i'd rather leave him out 2moro and play him against Bayern.

edit, as soon as i posted that i remembered he's not in the CL squad anymore,

baffling as certain people were left out in the first part of the season to allow Hargreaves to be named in the squad when he wasn't close to a comeback, but now he's fit again he's been taken out.

Can see this guy ending up on an early retirement. Saying he still gets pain in his Knees etc when he plays, that Dr Steadman saying it was the worst case he had ever seen. Fingers crossed for him though, hope he can help us get a victory over Chelsea tomorrow if he plays a part.
