I don't think there is anyone. I've been thinking about it a lot for the past few months and the only player I can recall having a better first touch is zidane. I've got a theory why them two are the best as well but it sounds ridiculous when I say it so I won't bother
I'm convinced its to do with their leg shapes and the effect it has on the mobility of their ankles. You know how they've both got like bowed legs, their ankles are both proper flexible seem to have a greater range of movement.
So, when you're tryna kill the ball, your aiming to basically make your foot as loose as possible so when it impacts with the ball, your foot is acting as a cushion, right? Make it rigid and it acts like a wall and bounces off (eg the adebayor touch).
Due to the greater range of ankle movement and more flexibility in the joint, the ability to act as a cushion is increased and it can be acheievd in a greater number of directions.
Something like that anyway. I've not really worded that very well at all but I'm tryna put my thoughts into words and its not really happening.

i whole heartedly and honestly believe i am a better defender than Fabio.
however he may be an outside shot at being our LW for the future, very good going forward

I get what he's saying, and I've always likened Berbatov's 1st touch to Zidane's.
Their technique is so 'languid'.
