Darkman, I said

In the 2nd pic Cleverley is on the ball. Swap him with any of our summer midfield targets and you still got the same problem which is limited passing options available because of the tactics.

That's not me starting a debate

That's not me saying someone is better than someone else

It's basic common sense that a midfielder that is used to playing in a 4-3-3 with 2 or more passing options around him whenever he is on the ball is going to struggle in our current rigid 4-4-2 set up which limits his passing options regardless of how much creativity and vision he has.

The point is in that pic the team shouldn't be set up for a CM to have to drive past 2 or 3 players or attempt a hollywood pass every time that scenario occurs in our matches.

LMAO, what top CM in world football today does that in a 4-4-2 anyway?

f*cking HELL, THE STUPIDITY.

Apart from him though, call recall many others in last couple years

Totally different system, even when they play 2 strikers, it's actually a 4-2-2-2 system with 'wingers' actually being 'interiors' so you create overloads in the middle third/central area.

I'm talking 4-4-2 that Moyes, even Yaya would struggle.

Excuse me, who doesn't play?

Its alright

I will break it down

Moyes first 11, Welbeck, Anderson and Cleverly do not start

If Welbeck does get a chance its left midfield lol

Cba for your tr0lling today

Have a good one

Try turn my comment on Cleverly into my comparing him to Thiago and Cesc, almost had me there fella

With the exception of Anderson they all get their fair share of game time about "they don't play"

I've said many times I feel sorry for Welbeck having to play left mid. I actually think he may have to leave Man U for the sake of his career

and play where(position)???..........welbeck shouldnt be strike attor!

Welbeck in most non-dinosaur teams would flourish as a striker imo

Just needs confidence

But he aint going to find that hugging the touch line or cutting inside and being told by Rooney to go back to the left side of the pitch

Its deep

Rooney is actually a cancer to our players

How about when Navas plays? He certainly stays wide

Lopsided 4-3-3 with Navas in the team

So he stays out wide on the right and while Nasri/Silva drift into the middle from the left with Kolorov/Clichy providing the width on that flank

OK so not much different to a Man U team with say Nani drifting

He is a striker imo. I still think he could be better than Sturridge but he is not getting that vital experience at the moment

What position do you think he's suited to?

CM

Welbeck ain't a striker, he lacks a trick to beat a man and isn't a natural finisher.

His best work is generally done outside the box.

Good tenacity, stamina, good passer, good positional sense and concentration.

lol you can't be calling man a CM when he's never play there in this life

Being a good CF isn't necessarily about tricks. Granted he's not the best finisher but that can only be improved by getting more opportunities

To conclude, Citeh's 4-4-2 is really not much different from Man U's. Glad we got there in the end

But Kagawa rarely plays so it is different when he's not in the team

Nani plays fairly often though
