yeah I don't even think Windows needs it any more, as long as you're not installing random free software, I think browsers are strong enough these days that you don't get random spyware/viruses installed just by clicking on pages

I spent all yesterday trying to find some file on my Mac called RarGenie. Because any time I download something it asks if I want to open it with this, and I don't remember downloading RarGenie.

 

Found it today anyway and used Clean My Mac yet now when I download something it still says do I want to use it. Also when I switch off my Mac I see it pop up in the background just as it shuts down.

 

What else can I do?

 

I think this happened when I tried to download and install audacity.

Why is iPhoto so fucking shit???

Pages comes for free on Mac. Depending on the extent of your need for Office features, I'd just stick with that. Allow paying £6 a month for Office.
