The way I can't wait for uni to be over is unreal.Just decided to change my dissertation topic right now. Was fighting a losing battle with the other one. Really wish I realised that earlier.However, I'm optimistic. If my friend had to change her dissertation topic completely 5 weeks before due date and she got 4000 words out of a 10000 word piece done in a week and a half, I can do it. Probably not going to go sleep for 2 days.But on a real, f*ck uni.

That's f*cked, when do you have to hand it in?Have you had much guidance from your advisor? i found mine was pretty decent when i asked him to read stuff etc, but others told me their advisers took the piss in returning emails and told them to totally rewrite their dissertation. And i know what youre saying about the f*ck uni thing, im ready to leave!...Although its only going to lead into more education.

Hear the joke tihng.I never got given a supervisor. Part of that reason was I handed my proposal after the deadline date, but they knew I had a good reason as I had to go out to Ghana for a funeral. Even after that, I spoke to a lecturer who was meant to communicate with the head of our year to organise tutors. He still hasn't done it to this day. He is currently AWOL. Makes about 4/5 weeks. Not even lecturers have heard from him. I emailed some other guy who said he would be happy to look over my work tomorrow. He knows I work hard and am a good student so I guess that's part fo the reason he didn't mind. Normally he boys off people.And I had to change my topic anwyays. There was pretty much no research for it that was UK based, and even research for it wasn't as plentiful as I would have liked it to be. It would have just been long. Prefer this topic anyways. Way more research to hand and I am more interested in it.The way my motivation for uni has hit rock bottom is nuts. I really had no drive, no interest in it, nothing. It's only now I feel like I can make something of the final 2 months. It was originally due in May 18th, but I got a three week extension after my grandfather died. Glad I got it though. Ideally want to have it finished middle of May though. Got to finish some other essays as well but they can get done. I'm not worried.

Rah, thats f*cked!...Some lecturers just don't give a sh*t. (But there are a caring few). You sound like you have it all sorted though, so you will be bless. Good luck with it. Biggest relief and sense of achievement when you print it off and hand it in.
