thats not a trailerthats a whole flipping cut sceneoh yeah, i was gunna say the GOW trailers
Brilliant Advert. From the shots to the music, everything was spot on. Did its job!However,GOW2 last day eclipses that IMO. The advert captures perfectly the sadness of the people in that advert. Although it only connotes that, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. The last day of freedom, they know they will be going in the Locust's camp and have a very slim chance of surviving. It shows 3 characters appreciating things in life that they take for granted. Marcus = Freedom. Cole = Simple things in life that will never be seen again Dom = Never seeing loved ones again. Whoever directed this is too much, love how they captured the unity with the 4 of them. When they are in the pods its another quality scene as you can tell Dom is trying to feed off Marcus but he ain't showing no emotions. Music was quality as well, perfect. Swear down if i had to do an essay i could easily type 5 pages or so.G.O.A.T advert i've ever seen for a video game. If you don't agree, you're wrong, simple as. Captures the war feel perfectly. You can see the humans getting battered and can even see the fear in their faces. They know they are fighting a losing battle, they know they are all going to die. Microsoft paid big money to promote Halo 3 and its paid off. The way every shot was filmed must of have taken time!! No one believes in hope anymore as you see Chief is captured. However, then you see the Plasma Grenade light up (I think) and Chief looks up the camera and Believe comes up f*ck off!

I don't like video trailers that don't actually have any in-game footage. Usually air them.
rofl they are the best ones... its more what the games about not just seeing what you can do in it, would be swag with just pure ads that are ingame sh*ta creative ad that gives a message about the game >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> some ingame running around and shooting

I find it annoying personally. I can't get into it that stuff. Prefer to see the single-player how i would see it. If you can't make it look good then you know it's boring imo.

can see what your saying but obviously thats limited to what you can do and only certain games will look extremely impressive through a gameplay trailer init, alot will just look like any old game. i dont mean some long 5-10 minute trailer obviously, just a short one that is straight to the point and has a message. i can kinda see why people dont like that type of trailer but imo they are the best ones, that will get me more hyped for a game than seeing some gameplay that will end up all looking the same after having seen about 10 trailers for different games of the same genre. it can work well with some games e.g. the street fighter 4 trailer showing all the characters (so far) is good, but i do think that can only go so far.

How is it it limited? If the gameplay looks boring and the graphics don't say much then allow giving in to any CG advert. Advert's like Mirrors Edge are the way to go for me. Any advert that tries to tell me how the game feels through an FMV I can air aswell.

nah I don't favour CGI game adverts either.CGI can make ANY game look good or at least semi-decent when in reality the game is swag swag swag, e.g. the mugs who thought NFS:Undercover was gonna be good *edit* not to say CGI ads are swag cos they're not. but alot of games use it as a ploy to hype sh*t games. some CGI adverts are sick tho
