I wasn't even shocked i was astonished more than anything tbh. It hasn't even hit me yet, even though i was crying like a bitch yesterday.I still cannot come to terms with his death. Llow watching the news though, it's all about watching his videos & listening to his tracks

Alie nothing, were discussing Michaels status as a Legend and someone brings up "The Jonas Brothers" followed by people asking who the f*ck they are lol. Seriously, like u said it was a sh*t example. Term Phenomena is being abused to describe them.
It's more the demi-god pedastal that certain heads (you) are putting Jackson on, like say he's Muhammed.Michael Jackson was a human with faults like the rest of you. He made incredible music and was a groundbreaking performer but he also made mistakes.People need to calm down.
u DEFINTELY wont be able to get it tbh. when were u born like 93 or suttin?
As someone with both a keen interest in music and history I'm well aware of innovations of impact. My age is immaterial tbh, and I think its giving me a more objective view when it comes to this.Bare clouded judgements in this topics.

C/S to the second part, beginning to realise he would've wanted to celebrate his life.Whats better than to kick back and listen through his entire catalogue.

Ok, you're reiterating something I already put my hands up, and said was a mistake?I don't get this, I done said it was a bad example 20 mins ago.
Nothing to do with their music. Spice Girls made relatively shite music, but they blew the f*ck up...It was a poor example, but they're definitely a phenomena in the US though, no-one can tell me different./I didn't recall comparing them to MJ, so let's not go down that road & debate needlessly.
Because even though you said "It was a bad example" you still said they are a phenomena in the US, which tells us your just using the word without knowing what it means. How can you admit that it was a poor example to use, then be so adamant that they are definitely a phenomena in the US? sh*t don't make sense

Your age isn't immaterial cos you seem to be struggling to comprehend how a guy who managed not to just stay relevant but excel immeasurably in such a fickle industry for 35 years plus is being given such a level of acclaim that some man aren't worthy to be mentioned in the same bracket.Clouded judgement would suggest some people are over exaggerating his impact and achievements but that's not the case.

WTF.No-one was comparing MJ & The Jonas Brothers...We were having a discussion on 'What constitutes as a phenomena?'. 001 mentioned Spice Girls, in addition to Beyonce, Madonna & Kanye West. I mentioned the Jonas Brothers as a possible modern day phenomena...I then, realized that was a bad example after thinking on it some more...Some people's reading comprehension, jeez.
I don't even class Beyonce as a Phenomina even though she's a great Artist. Kanye West lol some Joke Ting, More people I know hate him than like him. Madonnas someone who I guess would have to command respect in the Legend status.
I never said Kanye was a phenom
I know creamy always says it and I hate to say it but Kanye will be remembered as something special from this era; he's eccentric, transformed from rapper to rock star, carries himself like a f*ckin weirdo, moves fruity, outspoken, knows how to grab media and everyones attention at the drop of a hat, perfectionist, makes unbelivable quality of music (to some), however unlike most of the people I named before actually has creative control, yet he cant talk to Michael. That should show you levels of todays music society.
Never said Beyonce was one either. Basically spoke about the artists who are currently top names in the music world and said they cant talk to him.

the luminary status MJ recieved is a rarity.it is unlikely that anyone will achieve a similar status.....but to say that it's never going to happen again is illogical. i think heads are too blinded by emotion atm to look at it from an objective POV.if this level of popularity and adulation can be achieved once, it can be achieved again.

London, June 27: Speculation is rife over the last rites of pop star Michael Jackson, who had reportedly converted to Islam last November and had assumed the name of Mikaeel. Jackson`s family may seek fresh autopsy: Jesse JacksonThe 'King of Pop', known for eccentric lifestyle, had converted to Islam last year in a ceremony with an Imam in Los Angeles, which would mean he would need to be buried as soon as possible, the Telegraph said quoting reports. But there have been doubts over the conversion reports as the singer, raised as Jehovah, never spoke publicly about it, the daily said. Jackson's body was handed over to the family today after a preliminary autopsy and taken to an undisclosed destination. However, no details have been released by the family regarding any future arrangements. With millions of fans around the globe mourning the 'King of Pop's death, his funeral is likely to draw comparisons to that of Elvis Presley and James Brown's deaths. Jackson's death is also likely to start a long series of legal battles, according to his lawyer Brian Oxman.Oxman said that any remains of Jackson's fortune, his property and his children could all be fought over in the courtroom. "We will have to see how that plays out in a court of law. I suspect that the death of Michael Jackson is only the beginning of the legal battles over not only his property, but also his children," Oxman told CBS's Early Show. Talking about Jackson's three children, Prince Michael Jackson II , seven, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael, 12 Oxman said, "They are in the care of a nanny. Ms Jackson (the singer's mother, Katherine) will care for them and I'm sure there will be all kinds of discussions that will take place about the kids." Bureau Report
Every site pretty much says the same.

One question investigators will have for Michael Jackson's personal physician -- did he botch early CPR efforts on the King of Pop?On the 911 tape obtained by TMZ, one of Jackson's staffers tells the dispatcher that Jackson is "on the bed" and that a "doctor is here." The doctor is Dr. Conrad Murray.Several EMTs tell us it's odd that a veteran cardiologist like Murray would attempt CPR while Jackson was on a bed.Common CPR practices call for the patient to be on a hard surface -- because it is difficult to compress the chest on a soft surface. The 911 operator told the staffer to "get him on the floor."Cops have yet to officially interview Dr. Murray, but this will almost certainly come up.
