But they all rate him, never saw anyone even doubt his ability. Koscielny's departure would be a real scandal! If the club wants to keep the ambition must be declared non-transferable, whatever the price offered ... Koscielny will still grow at Lorient and is currently the best French defender, pace Domenech. The next year with no doubt a first international selection will be its price well above 15M ... Speaking exclusively to Arsenal.com, the manager admitted a signing was not imminent. However he did expect to bring in a defender before the tournament ends on July 11."No, we are not close at the moment," said Wenger. "We are quiet. The 27-year-old Marchetti was outstanding for the Rossoblu last term, so much so he convinced Italy coach Marcello Lippi to take him to South Africa as Buffon's understudy.However, the Gunners' interest could be challenged by Bayern Munich, who are also in the hunt for a top-class goalkeeper.Juventus have also been linked with the Italian, but it seems they have reached a deal with Milan to sign Marco Storari for €4.5 million, though neither club have confirmed it officially.
