JJ is right, Houllier would take them no further than MON. Heskey would start every week Although Sven is the biggest managerial whore known to man, I think he is a decent club coach and has prem experience .

Gonna be Houllier for the rest of this season, probably give him a contract till the end of 11/12. But I imagine we'll go for first choice (Moyes, Jol or Hughes) next Summer.

Man Utd are too arrogant to appoint a manager who's never won f*ck all. We've got more than Everton, if he wants the Man Utd job he's gonna have to do something somewhere. Why not Villa Park?/Bilic won't get a bigger job than Villa straight from Croatia.

It looks like the 5 man shortlist were:KMac Curbishley :D Sven Moyes Houllier Moyes doesn't want to leave Everton (no top manager would at this stage of the season tbf). Curbishley and Sven didn't make it past interview one.So either Houllier or Houllier as some sort of technical director to KMac.I think it'll be a short term thing anyway when we go for Moyes again next Summer.Good thing with Houllier is he can set up the scouting network MON neglected to do for the last 4 years.

Jeremie Aliadiere has revealed that he has damaged his cruciate knee ligaments, meaning he will not play again until 2011.The French forward is a free-agent after leaving Middlesbrough in the summer, and he had looked like earning a deal with Premier League West Ham.But the former Arsenal star has revealed he damaged knee ligaments whilst training with The Hammers, and is now club-less after suffering the blow."I had damaged my cruciate knee ligaments," he confirmed to the Sunday Mirror."There was a misunderstanding about the deal. Apparently Villa are going to announce Houllier. Short-term he isn't that bad, better than Curbishley, that would of been a backwards step. Sven has such a bad rep after England, its a shame.

Houllier's honours list is outstanding. On reflection I'm relatively happy and optimistic.MON has layed the foundations, hopefully Gerard can keep the stars and add one or two from the European market and then step aside for a long term manager when one becomes available.
