Chip skip is a lot. People still not understanding that he's showcasing our way and the world is buying into our culture our dress etc. and most particularly our slang. That was fhe need for the skit and what the skit is even about.

Album has grown on my after the disappoint of not enough new tracks. Think 3 more would have been ideal.

Numbers is probably the weakest track on the album along with crime riddim. Wiley Numbers in Action > Skeppy Numbers.

Firstly, respect to Skepta for basically doing what he said he was going to do way back from 2004 Rinse FM Saturday afternoon showermanmicmanbarseman days.

BUT

His album is basically a hipster greaze ting. There's no message or anything memorable. Compare him to someone like Joey Badass who is 21. JB comes across like the grown man. (I make that comparison because before I put on Skepta's album, I was listening to him)

Skepta is basically a popstar who has validation from Hipsters and Drake. He's not saying anything remotely interesting.

It's not hating either, it's just an opinion based on the music. I used to hate the fact that people who spit lyrics for 18 year olds are more popular than those who spit sense, but now I'm very happy about that fact indeed.

I like the album there's some bangers on there it's a good one for the car but Niall's right the lyrics are basic n I'm sure he slightly modified and repeated a few of them. Got an insta famous American model on snapchat she was posting snaps about mixin the palace with the celine

Skepta has never been a lyricist tho, always had basic bars dotted with decent quotables that are relatable. You dont look  at a skepta album for some deep shit.
