The Summer Transfer Thread

I'd rather stick with Luke and wait to see if Walker isn't getting a look in for January. Was watching a Bent video earlier, Walker assisted three of his goals on it, a few of them very sick (skip to about a minute to skip the shite)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR17z-eVNPMStoke, Bolton and Arsenal goals are the assists. For a 19 (?) year old fullback, making his first appearances in the top flight at a new and struggling team, really was impressive.

youve got no chance getting walker jj, he will probably be our #1 choice this season.weve got no choice but to sell hutton as he only has a year left and we wont be giving him a new contact.

I said at the start of this window Spurs & Blackburn are great places to buy prem qualityTo be honest any1 cudda signed Walker at the start of last season, him and Naughton are quality since Sheff Utd days, I dnt kno why no prem manager took a punt on him, I kno Harry wernt convinced about him then..He murked at Qpr, did well at Villa and now theres no chance Spurs will sell, unless its stupid money £12m plus, I expect 20 apps in all comps from him next season, hes a far brighter prospect than Gibbs imo

Walker ain't better than Corluka yet. He'll be rotating with him in the lesser games. We need to just sell Hutton to whoever wants him 'cause he's costing us big time.
i dont rate corluka as a starter tbh. good back up tho. would much rather see walker continue to progress because the only way he is gonna improve defensively is by playing every week.

Yeh, with Walker though he's not there yet. Like his quality for us was obvious but he had a few absolute shockers, like 90 minute bad performances not just the odd error.Your priorities are different to ours at the minute, so he's you can be less leniant with his mistakes. A couple of highprofile errors (like he had for us v Everton) would see him out the team, I'd love him back even if it's a loan.

From pre season he hasn't really looked solid defensively. Looks comfortable going forward but you can tell he's still a kid and inexperienced. I reckon against smaller teams he'll feature quite a bit but i wouldn't trust him against a team with a good winger just yet. The left winger for Pirates gave him so much trouble.

Guest Portuguese

Manchester United linked with Schweni that's more like itIMO only Xavi/Iniesta/Toure/Alonso are better central midfielders than him.

Yo JJ there is a "ITK" who has recently started posting on a spurs board, but isnt a spurs fan, just gets some info, but he says Villa is the main club he gets all his info about... hes just posted this...

Villa have booked BMI Medical Centre for Wednesday. N’Zogbia expected but they have booked it all day which suggests others will take place. Also have conference room booked at Belfry to entertain guests. Hutton, Jenas and Crouch definitely wanted. Combined bid is only just over £15million. Bid has not been accepted, negotiations ongoing, but permission given to speak to players. Worried Jenas will be the most unwilling, so will offer him a shorter contract.

Dunno, but N'Zogbia is supposedly on holiday in Dubai and won't have his medical until Friday. According to SSN who claim to have spoken to his agent.Hutton I can see, but not until one of Cuellar or Beye has gone as Luke is more than decent.Jenas and Crouch just go too much against our current policy. Really can't see it (although I'd love Crouchy back).Plus we've been linked with your cast offs ever since MON's festish for British players first became apparent and we've never signed 'em (600k on Routledge aside :D)
