Anyone upgraded their BBM in the last couple days? Wanna know the point of this update since the last one deleted all my convos.
Don't get it, very glitchy. I upgraded and it worked fine yesterday and day before but today I got a message but couldn't read it, just a blank screen but the bbm icon notifying a new message still appears on the home screen.Going to try and downgrade back to 5.0.033 now cos that was the most stable recent one I've used.

You know what I have done a bit of a 180 on blackberry's.Blackberry's = best no frills phone... synchronicity/email/bbm are unparalleled.iPhone = One of the top/best media devices. Ipod need I say more, top notch browsing, tonnes of apps and fun little things, highly customisable, never get bored of it.Depends what you want. If you want a phone that does the modern day basics well then Blackberry's are you. If you want a media device that will keep you entertained iPhone is you.Right now I am at the point where I need my emails pushed to me constantly, I want BBM, want to be able to write docs and notes on my phone and transfer to computer/email out straight, have my cv on my phone for on the go mailing of it etc... not to mention the use of a qwerty keyboard. So I might actually opt for the Blackberry bold 9700 when it comes for contract renewal with O2 at the end of Jan.Sell my iPhone.and Get an iPod Touch 3rd Gen 32GB.And have the best of both worlds

Can you not do all this already on the iphone? i presume the iphone pushes emails as they arrive? obviously theres no bbm but can't u open word docs, pdf on i phone?I have the blackberry 9700 and i like it apart from the fact that the web browsing is awful and i am pissed dat the outlook synchronisation is only for BES and not BIS users which is a bit of a pisstake in my opinion, Kind of devalues having a blackberry unless you got it on a business contract. Also there not as many useful apps on the BB either but i can live without the gimmicks.

iPhone you can open docs sent to you via email. Can edit docs with doctogo but cant transfer docs to comp without sending to email. only sure fire way to transfer docs is via wifi. Emails are not really pushed,I am curious, what do you mean syncronisation is only available to BES and not BIS. So I wouldn't be able to sync with outlook unless I have BES.I assume you can still sync contacts and emails by hooking it up to a computer and sync sh*t but cannot sync over the air.Explain please.

To be honest, i rated bbm massively at first but now, as shain said, its becoming some msn'y gimmick type thing. Ive had to have a clear up of contacts now and have just the circle and important/neccesary people on it.
In relation to this can someone tell me what happens on the other persons bbm when theyve been deleted? Do i disapear off their list, do i remain and none of their messages send to me etc?
